Hatch, <br /> caused 17- resignation® There were thirty-five ( 35) Town meeting <br /> Members oresent. <br /> Nominations from the floor were made for Richard P. Cromwell, <br /> Lloyd C . Hardi--1,2: and 7alter L. Chambers, Messrs, Gay, Ripley and <br /> Donnelly were appointed and served as tellers. Ballots were cast <br /> with the following results : Richard P. Cromwell - 13; Lloyd C . <br /> Hardinc - 13; and Walter L. Chambers - 4. A tie being decided <br /> upon, ballots were again passed with the following results : <br /> Lloyd C . Hardin:: - 16; Richard P. Cromell - 15; and Walter L. <br /> Chambers - 3 , Lloyd C . Carroll, read the warrant until upon <br /> motion of George C . Sheldon, duly seconded, farther reading of the <br /> warrant was discontinued, The Constable ' s Return of the Warrant was <br /> read by the Town Clerk, 8:06 P.M. <br /> Unless otherwise noted, all articles were presented by 3-electman„ <br /> A. Edward Rowse, <br /> Article 2, Lewis L. Hoyt, Chairman of the Acoropriation Comm- <br /> ittee , presented the Appro3riation Committee Report which was un- <br /> animously accepted and placed on file. 8:07 P.M. <br /> Fred C . Newhall presented the retort of Advance Programming <br /> and Budgeting Committee which was unanimously accepted and placed on <br /> file ,8:07 P.M. <br /> William Rojer Greeley presented and read the following report : <br /> TO -_The Town Meeting 'embers: <br /> At the Town Meeting held march 15 , 1943, <br /> the Moderator was directed to appoint a Committee consisting of the <br /> Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, the new Chairman of tl-,e Approp- <br /> riations Committee the Chairman of the Planning Board, together with <br /> two citizens with business experience, to study the setup of the var- <br /> ious Town departments in the interest of efficience and economy, and <br /> make recommendations to the next annual Town Meeting, <br />
