M. <br /> There were 157 Town Meeting Members present . <br /> Town Clerk , James J. Carroll , read the warrant for the meeting <br /> until upon motion further reading was waived. <br /> Town Clerk, James J. Carroll, read the Constable's Return for <br /> the meeting. $:04 P. M. <br /> Article 1. Leon H. Bateman presented the Report of the Appropriation <br /> Committee which was accepted and placed on file . <br /> $:05 P. M. <br /> Article 2. Presented by Mrs. Ruth Morey. <br /> VOTED : That the sum of $160,000 be and hereby is <br /> appropriated as a supplementary appropriation to be <br /> used in conjunction with and in addition to the sum of <br /> $1,770,000 already appropriated for the construction and <br /> original equipping and furnishing of a newj high school <br /> building, and that payment be provided by the issue of <br /> bonds or notes of the Town for $160,000 and that the <br /> Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen , be and he <br /> hereby is authorized to borrow the sum of $160,000 under <br /> authority of Chapter 1$6 of the Acts of 1947, as <br /> amended by Chapter 26 of the Acts of 1949, and to issue <br /> bonds or notes of the Town therefor in accordance with <br /> the provisions of Chapter 44 of the General Laws, so <br /> that the whole loan shall be paid in not more than <br /> twenty years from the date of issue of the first bond <br /> or note. <br /> The Moderator stated in case vote not unanimous a standing vote <br /> would be necessary. <br /> Vote declared not unanimous.
