Kent at <br /> 8:10 Po M. <br /> There were 136 Town Meting Members present, <br /> Invocation offered -by Richard K. Eaton, Town Meeting Member from <br /> Precinct Four. 8:11 P. M. <br /> Mary R. McDonough, Town Clerk, read the warrant for the meeting until <br /> further reading was waived. 8:12 P. M. <br /> The Town Clerk read the Constable's Return of the Warrant, <br /> 8:12 P. M. <br /> Article 1, Donald R. Grant moves that the Appropriation Committee_ <br /> Report be accepted and placed on file. 8:13 P. M. <br /> Allen Lee Whitman, Jr, asks for an explanation of the <br /> report. 8:13 P. M. <br /> Motion, as presented by Mr. Grant, declared carried by <br /> voice vote. 8:13 P. M. <br /> Article 2. Presented by Mr. Cataldo. <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are auth <br /> orized to accept Federal funds as a contribution towards <br /> ' the cost of construction of the sewer main or mains <br /> authorized by vote adopted under Article 16 of the Warrant <br /> for the 1965 Annual Town Meeting, being a sewer main or <br /> mains in such locations as the Selectmen may determine <br /> from the existing North Lexington Pumping Station to the <br /> existing sewer main located in Hamilton Road, and to <br /> expend, in addition to money appropriated under said <br /> Article 16 and under Article 9 of the Warrant for the <br /> June 12, 1967 Special Town Meeting, any such Federal <br /> funds together with any funds allotted to the Town by <br /> the Commonwealth- for water pollution control purposes <br /> for the aforementioned project. <br /> 8:11. P. M. <br /> Mr. Cataldo gives explanation, 8:18 P. M. <br /> Various speakers, <br /> Jack L. Mitchell states that the Capital Expenditures <br /> Committee recommends favorable action on this article. <br /> 8:27 P. M. <br /> Main motion, as presented by Mr, Cataldo, carried <br /> unanimously. 8:28 P. M. <br /> Article 3. Presented by Lincoln P. Cole, Jr. <br /> MOTION: To appropriate---the additional sum of $10,000.00 <br /> for Veterans' Benefits--Aid & Expenses for the year 1968, <br /> and to provide for payment of said sum by transfer from <br /> the Excess and Deficiency Account. <br /> Carried Unanimously 8:30 P. M. <br /> Lincoln P. Cole, Jr. moves that the meeting be dissolved, <br /> Carried Unanimously. 8:31 P. M. <br /> Town Clerk <br />
