1 <br /> SPECIAL ELECTION TOWN MEETING MEMBERS - PRECINCT TWO <br /> MARCH 18, 1968 <br /> A special election for Town Meeting Members of Precinct Two only <br /> was held in Estabrook Hall at 7:30 P. M. to decide on a three year <br /> term or one year term between George E. Rowe, Jr. and Francis G. <br /> Fuery because of a tie vote at the Annual Town Election held March <br /> 4, 1968. <br /> Elizabeth M. Flynn, Chairman of Precinct Two Town Meeting <br /> Members, called the meeting to order at 7:30 P. M. <br /> There were 15 Town Meeting Members from Precinct Two present. <br /> Results of the paper ballot voting as follows: <br /> Francis G. Fuery 15 <br /> George E. Rowe, Jr. 0 <br /> Total 15 <br /> Francis G. Fuery was duly elected as a Town Meeting Member in <br /> Precinct iec'nc <br /> t _wo for a three year term ending in March 1971. <br /> George E. Rowe, Jr. was duly elected as a Town Meeting Member in <br /> Two Two for a one ,year term ending in March 1969. <br /> Town Clerk <br /> f <br /> TOWN ANNUAL MELTING HELD MARCH 18 1968 <br /> Meeting called to order by the Moderator, Robert B. Kent, at <br /> II <br /> 8:O1 P. M. ,. <br /> There were 181.4. Town Meeting Members present. <br /> The Invocation was offered by Rev. Martin U. McCabe of the <br /> Sacred Heart Church. 8:04 P. M. <br /> The Moderator asked the Town Meeting Members to remain standing <br /> for a moment of silence in memory of members who have passed away <br /> since the last meeting. The Town Clerk read the warrant until <br /> further reading was waived and theiread the Constable's Return. 8:06 P.M. <br /> Article 2. Frank T. Parrish, Jr. moves that the Appropriation <br /> Committee Report and the amended report be accepted and <br /> placed on file. 8:07 P. M. <br /> Mr. Parrish explains that if the recommendations of the <br /> Appropriation Committee are followed, the tax rate would <br /> be raised by $4.60. T <br /> Motion of Mr. Parrish carried unanimously. 8:10 P. M. <br /> Hugh M. Chapin moves that the Report of the Capital Ex- <br /> _ enditures Committee tee be accepted and placed on file. <br /> Carried Unanimously 8:10 P. M. <br /> Leslie H. York presents the final report of the Public <br /> Facilities and Information Building Committee and moves <br /> that the report be accepted and the committee be discharged. <br /> Carried Unanimously 8:11 P. M. <br />
