CHAPTER 417 _ <br /> L <br /> THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS <br /> In the Year One Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty-six <br /> AN ACT VALIDATING A CERTAIN CONTRACT OF THE TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br /> AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN APPROPRIATIONS BY SAID TOWN. <br /> Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in <br /> General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as <br /> follows: <br /> SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any contrary provision of law, the <br /> Town of Lexington is hereby authorized to money appropriate for <br /> p y <br /> the payment of, and after such appropriation, the treasurer of <br /> said town is hereby authorizedto pay the sun of eleven thousand <br /> seven hundred and thirty dollars and fifty-two cents to John R. <br /> Clark & Associates Incorporated for work performed by it on certain <br /> roads, walks and curbs at the Lexington Senior High School, the <br /> claim for which sum is legally unenforceable against said town by <br /> reason of its being incurred without an appropriation and by reason <br /> of the failure of said town to comply with the provisions of sections <br /> forty-four A to forty-four D, inclusive, of chapter one hundred and <br /> forty-nine, section thirty-nine M of chapter thirty or section <br /> thirty-oneCof chapter forty-four of the General Laws. <br /> SECTION 2. ' The Town of Lexington is hereby authorized to <br /> appropriate the sum of six hundred and fifty-three dollars and <br /> thirty-nine cents to cover the disbursement for plans and <br /> specifications for alterations and additions to the Lexington <br /> Senior High School under Article 11 of the warrant for the <br /> special town meeting held on November twenty-fifth, nineteen <br /> hundred and sixty-three in excess of the amount available in <br /> the appropriations authorized by said article. <br /> SECTION 3. Any action taken by the town of Lexington at <br /> its annual town meeting held in the current year or at any <br /> adjourned session thereof, pursuant to the authority contained <br /> in this act, is hereby validated and confirmed and shall have <br /> the same effect as though this act were in full force and <br /> effect on the date of the posting of the warrant for such <br /> meeting. <br /> SECTION 4.
