(WARRANT FOR SPECIAL ELECTION - SEE WARRANT BOOK) <br /> 249 <br /> SPECIAL ELECTION - REFERENDUM - FOR $128,000.00 FOR PLANS FOR <br /> SECONDARY SCHOOL BUILDINGS, AND ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS TO <br /> THE HIGH SCHOOL - HELD JULY 10, 1961 <br /> In pursuance of the foregoing warrant the legal voters of the <br /> Town of Lexington met in their respective voting places in said Town <br /> of Lexington Monday, July the tenth in the year of our Lord nineteen <br /> hundred and sixty-one at seven-thirty o'clock in the forenoon. <br /> The following places were designated as the voting places for <br /> the various precincts: Precinct One, Adams School; Precinct Two, <br /> East Lexington Fire Station; Precinct Three, Cary Memorial Hall; <br /> 77 Precinct Four, High School Building; Precinct Five, Central Fire <br /> Station; Precinct Six, Maria Hastings School. <br /> The following -electron officers having been duly appointed by <br /> the Selectmen, and Wardens of the various precincts were assigned <br /> for duty as follows: <br /> Precinct One Precinct Two <br /> Mary E. Fisk <br /> Lillian Meadows Teller Ruth P. Lutz <br /> Precinct Three Precinct Four <br /> Randall W. Richards Warden Clarence E. Delp <br /> Edna Anderson Clerk Lena Rochette <br /> Edna Marshall Teller Mary G. Oliver <br /> Mary A. Spellman Teller Eulah M. Cassidy <br /> Ann L. Ford Teller Helene L. Ignico <br /> Teller Mary E. Connell <br /> Precinct Five Precinct Six <br /> Joseph 0 . Rooney Warden Mary J. Ferry <br /> Otis S. Brown, Jr. Clerk Louise E. Ahern <br /> Grace V. White Teller Michael Lovezzola <br /> Alice L. Osgood Teller Jeanette M. Kanis <br /> Teller Mary I . Bach <br /> Teller Mary G. McCauley <br /> The polls were declared open in each precinct at seven- <br /> thirty o' clock A. M. and remained open until eight o' clock P. M. , <br /> after which time, after due notice, they were closed. <br /> The election officers were sworn to the faithful performance <br /> of their duties. <br /> The total number of registered voters in each precinct as follows: <br /> Precinct One 2,343 (twenty-three hundred forty-three) <br /> Precinct Two 2,319 (twenty-three hundred nineteen) <br /> Precinct Three 1,989 (nineteen hundred eighty-nine) <br /> Precinct Four 2,018 (two thousand eighteen) <br /> Precinct Five 2,424 ( twenty-four hundred twenty-four) . <br /> Precinct Six 2,234 ( twenty-two hundred thirty-four) <br /> Total 13,327 (thirteen thousand three hundred twenty-seven) <br /> Reconciliation sheets were delivered to the Town Clerk at his <br /> office. <br /> The Registrars of Voters and the Town Clerk canvassed the <br /> result as follows: <br /> Precinct One 914 (nine hundred fourteen) <br /> Precinct Two 1,074 (one thousand seventy-four) <br /> Precinct Three 885 (eight hundred eighty-five) <br /> Precinct Four 995 (nine hundred ninety-five) <br /> Precinct Five 1,316 ( thirteen hundred sixteen) <br /> Precinct Six 1,031 (one thousand thirty-one) <br /> Total 6,215 ( sixty-two hundred fifteen) <br />
