<br />Lexington Council for the Arts (LCA) <br />Minutes for Meeting March 8, 2010 <br />Cary Memorial Library <br /> <br /> <br />Present:; Zoe-Perry-Wood, Co-Chair; Sirarpi Heghinian Walzser;; Christine Kyle, Jackie <br />Hawkinson, Jan Goplerud; Victoria Campos; <br /> <br />Absent: Jonathan Cue; Liz Rozan; Marilyn Kolb, Treasurer <br /> <br />Call to Order: <br /> <br /> Zoe Perry-Wood called the meeting to order at 7:10PM. <br /> <br />Secretary's Report <br /> <br /> The minutes for the February ‘10 meeting were accepted. <br /> <br />Treasurer's Report <br /> <br /> Marilyn Kolb’s Treasure’s report was accepted. We have a balance of $7877 in our account. <br />5K is dedicated to the library project. <br /> <br />Topics discussed tonight: <br /> <br />We are looking for three new council members to fill the vacancies on our council. <br /> <br />Zoe reported on her correspondence with several grant applicants, including helping <br /> <br />applicants to understand the paperwork they need to submit and what types of projects <br />are appropriate for funding. <br />Recent publicity: Zoe was interviewed by Erin from the Minuteman for an article about <br /> <br />the Calder Rewired project at the Bowman School. The article was published in t the <br />minuteman newspaper. <br />There was more discussion about a community input meeting. Council members worked <br /> <br />on creating a survey to get a better idea of what is on people’s minds concerning the arts <br />in Lexington. <br />Discussion of video taping project. There as been some response from grantees who are <br /> <br />interested in having their event video taped or interviewing the artists. <br />Discussion about sending out an rfp for the website design.
