<br />Lexington Council for the Arts (LCA) <br />Minutes for Meeting January 11,2010 <br />Cary Memorial Library <br /> <br /> <br />Present: Barbara Ciampa, Co-Chair; Louise Cady-Fernandes, Recording Secretary; Jackie <br />Hawkinson; Victoria Campos; Jan Goplerud; Zoe-Perry-Wood, Co-Chair; Christine Kyle <br />Absent: Jonathan Cue; Liz Rozan; Sirarpi Heghinian Walzser; Marilyn Kolb, Treasurer <br /> <br />Call to Order: <br /> <br /> Zoe Perry-Wood called the meeting to order at 7:10PM. <br /> <br />Secretary's Report <br /> <br /> The minutes for the December ‘09 meeting were accepted. <br /> <br />Treasurer's Report <br /> <br /> Marilyn Kolb’s Treasure’s report was accepted. We have a balance of $7880 in our account. <br />5K is dedicated to the library project. <br /> <br />Topics discussed tonight: <br /> <br />Shelby Kashket joined us to discuss LexMedia’s idea for a video presentation of some of <br /> <br />the LCA’s grant recipients and how they used grant money for their project in the arts. <br />We discussed the first steps that need to be taken to get the project started. Jackie <br />offered to contact a teacher at the LHS to possibly get some students involved in <br />exchange for community service hours. <br /> <br />The council voted Chris Kyle and Susan Alyn in as new council members. Barbara Ciampa <br /> <br />has resigned from the council. He service and dedication is celebrated by all the Council <br />members. <br /> <br />Grant updates. <br /> <br /> <br />The need for a new corresponding secretary to replace Janet Post who has resigned from <br /> <br />the council. <br /> <br />Discussion about open meeting for the arts in March and what needs to be done in <br /> <br />preparation. <br /> <br />Business for Next Meeting <br />Website next steps <br /> <br />Corresponding secretary <br /> <br />LexMedia project <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 PM.
