<br /> <br />Lexington Housing Partnership <br />Meeting Minutes for January 21, 2010 <br /> <br />Attendees: <br /> <br />Bob Bicknell, Carol Marine, Wendy Manz, Florence Baturin, Julie Duncan, Mary Haskell, <br />Arthur Katz, Chris Kluchman, Ken Kreutziger, Betsey Weiss. <br /> <br />Bob Bicknell chaired the meeting and took the minutes. The meeting was called to order at 7:35 <br />pm. The minutes of the Oct and Nov 2009 meetings were approved as published. Bob informed <br />the meeting that a nominating committee has been established. Florence Baturin is chair and <br />Mary Haskell and possibly Winifred McGowan will assist. <br /> <br />1 <br />. The Partnership voted to approve membership in the 4 town consortium being formed, <br />agreed to the MOU which is being coordinated with the Board of Selectmen and approved Bob <br />Bicknell and Ken Kreutziger as the first two board members to represent Lexington on the board <br />of the new organization. Members were encouraged to attend the Feb 1 Selectmen’s meeting <br />when the MOU will be presented for their approval. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Sub-Committee Reports <br /> <br />Report from Lexington Housing Foundation – Florence. Lexington will receive <br />$5,000 from Cambridge Savings from their campaign. Hancock Church gave <br />$1,000 in late 2009. <br />Busa Farm Status <br /> - The Town is negotiating for an adjacent parcel called the Goldinger <br />Land. When the parcel is acquired, the CPC and Town Meeting will be asked to fund <br />the acquisition. When the action is completed, a committee will be formed by the <br />Selectmen to determine use. <br />Jefferson Union Development <br />– No new news. Mary Haskell will try and determine the <br />status of the affordable unit. <br />Lexington Place: <br />Julie will contact the realtor in charge to determine the status of lottery <br /> <br />winners in terms of their gaining financing, etc. <br />40B Repeal <br />– Mary Haskell reported that an article on next November’s ballot will <br />attempt to repeal 40B. Efforts are being marshaled to prevent the repeal. Information <br />can be found at: <br /> http://www.chapa.org/?q=chapter40B; http://www.40bfacts.org ; <br />http://www.protectaffordablehousing.org/ <br />Affordable Homebuyer Assistance Program: <br /> <br /> <br />A meeting has been requested of the Board of Selectmen to gain their approval and <br />comments on our proposed approach. <br />Countryside Manor Project: <br /> <br />A PSDUP is on file and accessible thru the town web site. <br />A hearing is scheduled for Feb 3. <br />A discussion followed and the Partnership chair was asked to comment at the hearing <br />to the Planning Board in favor of the project as it provides a much needed source of <br />smaller and affordable housing units and to encourage an increase in the number of <br />affordable units if at all possible. <br /> <br /> <br />
