<br /> <br />Lexington 300 Anniversary Celebration Committee <br />th <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 17, 2009 <br /> <br />Attending: Susan Rockwell, Richard Kollen, Donna Hooper <br />Absent: Cindy Savage <br /> <br />The Lexington 300 Anniversary Celebration Committee met for the first time at 3:00 <br />th <br />p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2009, room 111, Town Office Building, 1625 <br />Massachusetts Ave. <br /> <br />Sue Rockwell, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. The Committee, a <br />subcommittee of the Town Celebrations Committee, is charged with the planning of <br />celebrations for 300 Anniversary of the Incorporation of Lexington as a town – March <br />th <br />31, 1713 (1752 switch from Julian calendar to Gregorian calendar). <br /> <br />Members present discussed thoughts for possible subcommittees, participating <br />organizations/institutions, and framework for celebrating the 300 anniversary of the <br />th <br />incorporation of Lexington. Also discussed were possible new members to the 300 <br />th <br />Anniversary Committee, including: <br />- Jerry Michelson, liaison from Town Celebrations <br />- Van Seasholes, schools <br />- Jessie Steigerwald, school committee representative <br />- Doug Lucente – youth and Lions Club <br />- David Tabeling – photography <br />- Denise Dube – publicity/news <br /> <br />Establishing a private non-profit corporation similar to that for the Lexington <br />Bicentennial celebration of 1975 was also discussed. <br /> <br />A request to meet with the Town Celebrations Committee on October 7 was also <br />th <br />brought forward. <br /> <br />Listed below is summary of categories/events discussed: <br /> <br />September 2012 Kickoff <br />March 30/31, 2013 Weekend of Events <br />September 2013 Culmination <br /> <br />Committee Groups/Categories <br /> <br />1.Cultural/Arts <br /> <br />a.
