Board of Assessor's Meeting Open Session Minutes Apri109,2020 A remote participation meeting of the Lexington Board of Assessors was called to order at 811150 am on Thursday,Apr'l(di 9,2020 vra Zoom remote meeting services.Gregory Johnson,Chairman, Edmund C. ® Member,Casimir Groblewski, Member were preseritt as well as Robert F. Lerit, Director of Assessing,Todd Laramie, Residential Inspector/Analyst, Scott Bouthiette Resideftal lnspector/Ana�yst and Sandra Pentedemos,Administrative Assessor. The Chairman, Gregory Johnson stated the remote parficVation meeting is being held in accordance wititt Governor Bakers March 12,2020 01 Executive Order suspending certain prov;s'ons of the Open Meetirtg Law to allow remote participation du4ing Massa,(�husetts`State of Emergency due to the outbreak of COVI 0-19. Mr Johnson provided instructions to the members of the p0liic,who were watching or listewng to the meeting via the Zoom appkcafioin regarding the procedure of making a public comment. 0 pen Session Public Comment Time: None present. There were no discussions of Financial Issues including Overlay Fund Chairman Johnson made a motion that the Board of Assessors go into Executive Session under Purpose 7 in order to delberate Fmcal Year 2020 Statutory Exemptions, Reall Estate Abatement Applocations and Personal Property Abatements since deliberation in Open Session could be detrimental to potential appeal or litigation matters,consistent with requirements and practices specified in the Open Meefing Law Guide,, The Board voted,3-0 in favor to go into Executive Session at 9,05 a.m. Executive Session occurred here: detail,s ma be viewed in§Sparate Executive Session folder. y_ Upon mot'on duly made and seconded,the Board of Assessors adjourned the Executive Session at 10-30 a.m. and returned to Open Session of the Meeting. Open Session The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of twenty denials and approved 7 of the Fiscal Year 2020 Chapter 59 Section 59,Real Estate Abatement Applications. (See list in Executive folder). The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of two approved Fiscal Year 2020 Chapter 59 Section 59,Personall Property Abatement Applications. (See List in Executive folder). There were no Fiscal Year 2020 Chapter 59 Section 5,Various Clause Statutory Exemption Applications, There were no pending Appellate Tax Board actions to discuss.
