CRAIG of Brighton is,in accordance with the provisions of law,hereby appointed <br /> Inspector of Cattle at the Cattle Markets of Brighton, Cambridge, and Medford. His duty is to prevent the driving of all <br /> working oxen, milcb cows, and store cattle, and all diseased cattle, to and from those markets. Beef cattle to be slaughtered <br /> which have been examined by him, and the owners thereof having a pass from said CRAI s, are to be allowed to pass. All others. <br /> must be detained. CRAIG, will attend to the duties of my appointment <br /> at Medford Cattle Yards, on Tuesday of each week,from 6 to 8, A.M.,and at Cambridge from 8 to 10, A.M., and at Brighton the <br /> remainder of the time. <br /> E. CRAIG, Inspector. <br /> TO THE PUBLIC. <br /> In consequence of the evident feeling of distrust which exists at the present time in relation to the wholesome condition of the <br /> beef furnished to the markets of Boston and vicinity, and to allay any alarm which may exist respecting it,the undersigned would <br /> certify that they have made and sball enforce regulations to prevent the slaughtering of any cattle at Brighton but those which have <br /> been inspected by a competent officer and pronounced perfectly healthy. We also recommend to the municipal authorities of those <br /> towns which supply Milk for the markets that they appoint Inspectors in their several localities, and allow only the milk of healthy <br /> herds to be forwarded.
