<br />March 11, 2019 <br />Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />Monday, March 11, 2019 <br />A meeting of the Lexington Board of Selectmen was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, <br />March 11, 2019 in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room of the Town Office Building. Present were <br />Selectmen Ms. Barry, Chair; Mr. Pato; Mr. Lucente; Ms. Hai; and Mr. Sandeen. Also present <br />were Mr. Malloy, Town Manager; Ms. Axtell, Assistant Town Manager; and Ms. Siebert, <br />Recording Secretary. <br />Selectmen Concerns and Liaison Reports <br />Ms. Hai: <br /> At the most recent Minuteman Advisory Group on Interlocal Coordination (MAGIC), <br />participants discussed age-friendly communities. Demographic changes are occurring <br />regionally; by 2030, it is projected that 27% of Lexington’s population will be over the <br />age of 65. <br /> There are two age-friendly community forums coming up at the Lexington Community <br />Center: the first is at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019; the second will take place <br />at 6:00 p.m. March 25, 2019. <br />Mr. Pato: <br />th <br /> The 8 graders at Clarke and Diamond middle schools recently held their annual Mock <br />Town Meeting events. <br /> The Center Committee invites all interested Town Meeting members to the Committee’s <br />next meeting on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. in the Parker Room on the <br />ground floor of the Town Office Building. Members of the Center Streetscape Working <br />Group will be present to answer questions. This Center Committee discussion follows <br />the previous evening’s Town Meeting Member Association information night <br />presentation. <br />Ms. Barry: <br /> The Board of Selectmen will review committee liaison assignments at the March 18, <br />2019 meeting. Selectmen meeting dates from July 2019-December 2019 will also be <br />discussed. <br /> The Town Manager has asked for a Selectman representative to attend the community <br />resilience-building workshop on Thursday, March 21, 2019, 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the <br />Hudson Room of the Town Office Building. The meeting provides the opportunity for <br />representatives from many boards and committees to discuss what the Town needs to do <br />to improve resiliency when facing the challenges of climate change. <br /> The ribbon cutting for Artis Senior Living will take place on March 21, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />
