Selectmens Records <br />1835 - 1852 <br />Memorandum Book <br />of the Selectmen <br />of Lexington <br />1835 <br /> <br />May 4 Then the selectmen agreed with Jonas Muzzey <br />to ring the bell sweep the meeting house, saw <br />and split the wood, take charge of the stove <br />make the fires, clean the snow away from the <br />house and take the general charge of the same, <br />the bell to rumen the cabath; public:days, toll <br />for funerals and to be rung every day at 12 oclock <br />Csundays excepted, throughout the year. <br />hand the said MUzzey agreed to perform this above <br />service for one year for the sum of sixty dollars <br />begining at the above date 00.00 <br />June the 1st.. The Selectmen let the feed growing <br />on the common the present season to Jonas M.
