TOWN MANAGER SEARCH SCREENING COMMITTEE MEETJNG <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Wednesday, August 15, 2018 <br /> PRESENT': Mr. Kelley, Chair; Mr. Lucente, Ms. Hai, s. 'Thompson, Ms. Colburn, Mr. Creech, <br /> Ms. Vine, Ms. Kumar, Mr. DeAngelis, Ms. Lin, Mr. Colatosti, Mr. Michelson and Mr. Lamb. <br /> ALSO PRESENT': Mr. Gould and Mr. Stapczynski, Municipal Resources Inc. (MRI). <br /> Upon a motion duly made and seconded and by roll call, the 'Town Manager Search Screening <br /> Committee voted 11.-0 to enter into Executive Session at 8:10 a.m. under Exemption 8 to <br /> interview applicants 1'®r'Town Manager and to reconvene in Open Session only to announce the <br /> finalists and to then adjourn. It was declared that an open meeting discussion may have a <br /> detrimental effect on obtaining qualified candidates. <br /> The 'Town Manager Search Screening Committee began interviews for the 'Town Manager <br /> position. Six candidates were scheduled to interview. One of the candidates withdrew prior to the <br /> onset of interviews. Mr. Gould introduced each candidate to the Committee providing an <br /> overview for the interview process. Each interview session lasted approximately one hour. All <br /> Committee members posed a question to each candidate. <br /> Upon completion of the candidate interviews, the Committee discussed each candidates' <br /> capabilities, qualities and values in reference to the Candidate Profile. Following this <br /> conversation, the Committee agreed to recommend three candidates to move forward to <br /> interview with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Upon a motion duly made and seconded, and by roll call the'Town Manager Search Screening <br /> Committee voted 11.-0 to authorize Municipal Resources Inc. to extend an invitation to Stephen <br /> Crane, Peter Lombardi, and:lira Malloy to move forward to interview with the Board of <br /> Selectmen for the'Town Manager position and for the Committee to announce this in open <br /> session. <br /> Upon a motion duly made and seconded, and by roll call the'Town Manager Search Screening <br /> Committee voted 11.-0 to adjourn the Executive Session at 3:45 p.m. and to reconvene in Open <br /> Session to reconvene in Open Session only to announce the finalists and then to adjourn.. <br /> A to record; Attest: <br /> Kim Kat7enback <br /> Executive Clerk <br />
