Council members are <br /> asked tobegin communicating the event now. <br /> o. Discovery Day plan'Survey or Mobile Signboard? Council hos agreed to take necessary time to <br /> develop an actionable survey as inclusive and broad reaching as possible. The mobile signpost is a <br /> simpler thought for Discovery Day, a prime opportunity to advertise the Breakthrough artist contest <br /> to increase applicant pool for this year. Joan has agreed to develop the signboard (picket sign), and <br /> Jessie will order pencils tohand out. <br /> Mark will be main volunteer for the full day, Seetha will also attend the morning. <br /> d. Regarding the Survey, Jessie has recommended Soothatncheck inwith Comprehensive Plan re: <br /> public arts and find out what they are they doing a survey. She will also Jessie will connect with us <br /> with the Planning board. <br /> o. Seetha is collecting feedback from the Council today,formulating the survey. It was recommended <br /> by Council to the heads of each major arts groups in Town, target by end of June including <br /> newspapers(Minutemon/Lattenoto Editor). Colonial Times, etc. <br /> _ <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> a. Parade Faadbaok—Lynne—Parade was rained out but a new September 29th anniversary ofthe <br /> bike path'coordinated oo|or/artdocoration project was brought Vothe Council's agenda.Jessie <br /> explained the project in detail and that volunteers are requested. Goetha offered to|oum more <br /> about itanthe planning pmnosn begins with ChnUnaand requests the collaboration included the <br /> Council for the Arts membership. <br /> b. Lessons Loemod on Breakthrough Arhot—Jeaaio explained Joel Kowit called to her attention thee <br /> was problem with the LaxK4ediaArtTa|kimagery ofEmmanuel College she is working to correct. <br /> Seethaspoke with Joel toclear the air and discussed ways hoimprove the process for next year. <br /> He also has provided copies of his pen-book from the showing at Cary Library for the Council and <br /> others to read and has included some of the Town's most prominent educators and scientists <br /> (including a prominent Merck researcher)expressing their interest in his works.
