TOWN MANAGER SEARCH SCREENING COMMITTEE MEETING Monday, June 11, 2018 A meeting of the 'Town Manager Search Screening Committee was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 in the Hudson Room, Cary Memorial Building. 'The members and liaisons present were as follows: Mr. Lucente, Ms. Hai , Mr. Kelley, s. 'Thompson, Ms. Colburn, Mr. Creech, Mr. DeAngelis, Ms. Vine, Mr. Colatosti, Ms. Kumar, Ms. Lin, Mr. Michelson, and Mr. Lamb. Also Present: Mr. Gould and Mr. Stapczynski, Municipal Resources Inc. (MRI). Introductions The members and liaisons of the committee introduced themselves. Overview of Search Process, 'Ti�rneline�and S�creeni�n �,Ajornrnittee Role Mr. Gould, president of the MRI consulting group, provided an overview of the 'Town Manager search process. He reviewed the timeline of the search process, informing the committee the process would take approximately twelve weeks. He stated MRI would provide the committee with nine to twelve candidates. From the group of nine to twelve candidates, the committee would select five to six candidates, on whom MRI would conduct extensive background checks. Pending background check approval, these candidates would then be passed to the committee for interviews. It is targeted to have three candidates selected and for the Board of Selectmen to execute the final interviews. Future Meet�nSchedrz�e The Committee decided to meet on August 6, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. to discuss candidates, facilitate consensus and prepare for onsite panel interviews. The Committee decided to meet on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to conduct interviews of candidates. Committee Process 0 Review Ojoen Meetino Law including Use of Executive Session Mr. Gould and Mr. Stapczynski reviewed use of Massachusetts Open Meeting law, particularly the need for discretion when dealing with the sensitive matter of interviewing candidates for Town Manager. 0 Elect Committee Chair Upon motion duly made and seconded, the 'Town Manager Search Screening Committee voted 11.-0 to appoint Peter Kelley as committee chair.
