1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />519 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />JUNE 10, 1986 <br />The meethly meeting of the Board of Health was held Tuesday, June 10, <br />1986 in Room G-15 of the Town Office Building. Members present were: Dr. <br />Howard B. Asarkof, Chairman; Mr. James W. Lambie, Dr. Donald A. Goldmann, <br />George A. Smith, Jr., Director of Public Health and Jacqy Selway, Sanitarian <br />for the Board of Health. <br />Minutes of the meeting of May 27, 1986 were accepted as read. <br />Jacqy Selway, Sanitarian of the Board of Health told the members she SANITARIAN'S <br />has been doing several routine inspections and also doing the halls, churches, REPORT <br />etc. and vending machines. <br />Jacqy also attended the Mass Environmental Health Meeting in Worcester. <br />She attended the Neptune Benson Seminar in Rhode Island. This was a <br />seminar on swimming pools. <br />Jacqy also has been assisting George Smith, Director of Public Health <br />and Tom Raboin in the "Buckle Up for Safety" Program for Lexington. Jacqy <br />and Officer Raboin attended the conference in Boston. <br />She and Officer Raboin are working on a sign to put up on each road <br />entering Lexington. <br />Jacqy also has been inspecting the semi-public swimming pools and is <br />half way through at this time. <br />She also assisted with the Rabies Clinic that had been held on June 5 and <br />6, 1986. <br />Jacqy did the inspections at the Minute Man School Cafeteria and Bakery <br />before school closed down for the summer. <br />At 7:30 p.m. Alex Castiello of the Castiello's Bakery came before the Board <br />to discuss his proposal for out-of-doors food service at his establishment at <br />1721 Mass Avenue, Lexington. Mr. Castiello wants to have five tables <br />outside in front of his store. <br />Mr. Castiello said it would be the same service as inside - pick up a tray <br />at counter - get food and take it outside. He has a busboy system, he said, <br />to pick-up and clean-up. There are also going to be barrels outside for the <br />trash. <br />Mr. Castiello said that he will have a minimum charge, as he does inside, <br />to sit down at tables on the outside. He said the tables that he will be <br />using are fibre glass bottom and laminated tops (non -porous) beige in color <br />to match the awning. Alex said that the Town Manager approved the tables. <br />Dr. Asarkof asked if Alex was going to hire any more help. Mr. Castiello <br />said "no" the help he has can do each other's jobs so they will have enough <br />help. <br />
