1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />419 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />MARCH 28, 1984 <br />The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Health was held Wednesday, <br />March 28, 1984 at 7:15 p.m. in Room G-1 (Recreation Office) of the Town Office <br />Building. Members present were: Mr. James W. Lambie, Chairman; Linda Roemer, <br />Ph.D., Dr. Donald A. Goldmann, and George A. Smith, Director of Public Health. <br />Minutes of the February meeting were accepted as read. <br />The Sanitarian's report was given by Mr. Smith because Mrs. Halko was ill. <br />Mr. Smith said that Mrs. Halko is concentrating at this time on vending <br />machines in cafeterias. Debbie has been setting up appointments with SANITARIAN'S <br />someone from the food services to be there to open the machines. REPORT <br />The Dunfey Corporation sent a letter stating they are going to make a SHERATON <br />sewer connection for the Lexington -Sheraton. There had been another break/ SEWER <br />blockage around the 8th or 9th of March. The connection to the sewer should CONNECTION <br />be completed in a month or two. <br />Mr. Smith had checked the preliminary plan for the Ridge Estates and RIDGE <br />said sewer and water are available. Mr. Freeman will have to go to the ESTATES <br />D.E.Q.E. to extend the sewer. All subdivisions have to de this now. <br />This plan from Ginn & Co./Xerox Corp. has to go upstairs to be reviewed. GINN & <br />They can by-pass the preliminary plan and submit a definitive plan. COMPANY <br />Mr. Smith doesn't have any hard or new data in regard to Raytheon. <br />Mr. Lambie said we should have had the wording of the town meeting by- RAYTHEON <br />law in regards to non-smoking areas in restaurants to say "food service CORP. <br />establishments" instead of just restaurants. <br />Raytheon does not want to comply in their cafeteria with the no -smoking <br />sections. <br />The Board said that the thing to do now is to get Norman Cohen, Town <br />Counsel, to keep right after this. <br />Mr. Smith explained how Dr. Howard Smith had written to the town manager RABIES <br />wanting to do the rabies clinic for 1984. CLINIC <br />Mr. Smith said, that in the past, Dr. Smith had indicated he was not <br />interested in our clinic and he has already asked Dr. Chabot's assistance to <br />participate in our clinic for this year. <br />The Board said to write to Dr. Smith and tell him we will consider him <br />for the clinic in 1985. <br />The state has sent a form to us to be filled out for each establishment EDB <br />checked for EDB. FORM <br />There are 4 new houses being built at Hayes Lane/Fletcher Avenue. The water <br />line to that area is a dead end line. <br />
