4 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 13, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Health was held Monday, September 13, 1982 <br />at 7:15 p.m. in Room G-1 (Recreation Office) of the Town Office Building. Members <br />present were: Mr. James W. Lambie, Chairman; Dr. Michael S. Erdos, Dr. Lina Roemer, <br />Debora J. Chiklis, Intern Sanitarian, and George A. Smith, Director of Public Health. <br />The minutes of the July 19, 1982 meeting were approved as read. <br />Debora J. Chiklis, Sanitarian, reported to the Board that during the past month <br />she has continued to inspect the food service establishments. She told the Board <br />when she first came to work here she started inspecting restaurants and also the <br />swimming pools. Next she did the in -plant cafeterias and now she is concentrating <br />on the mobile canteens and has also started to inspect the markets/convenience stores. <br />Debbie said she has been chasing down the canteen trucks and some had not bee licensed <br />in this town. <br />Debora told the Board she has been approved to take the Registered Sanitarian's <br />exam. She would like to wait and take it in a couple of months. <br />Debora Chiklis told the Board that she has been offered a full time position at <br />the Framingham Board of Health and she has accepted the offer. <br />The Board said that was wonderful that she had the opportunity. They wished her <br />the best of luck. <br />Mr. Smith told the Board the owner of Cain's Seafoods came into the office <br />with a check for his permit. The bank cashed it so we won't have a problem. <br />Dr. Roemer asked Debbie to check out Baskin-Robbins. <br />Mr. Smith told the Board when MacDonald's opened at Minute Man Voc. School <br />they served 500 people in one hour. <br />Mr. Smith told the Board he has filed two complaints in Concord Court. One <br />was against Keshian of 455 Lowell Street property, for his rubbish - the horses are <br />gone. The other is against Andrea Ciccolo for an overflowing cesspool. <br />There will be a Diabetes Screening Clinic on October 13, 1982. The training <br />course will be 4 dates in November. <br />The Pneumonia Clinic will be run in October and the Flu Clinic one month later. <br />We will be alloted 610 doses of flu vaccine for the clinic. <br />Mr. Smith explained briefly that the concept of a hazardous waste disposal <br />day has been approved, it is being sponsored by the League of Women Voters. <br />The residents can bring a maximum of 5 gals. of hazardous waste. A chemist <br />will be present on the site to analyze what the contents are. The town will pro- <br />vide the site. Date is tentatively planned for October, possibly the 23rd. <br />Mr. Smith received a letter from Dr. Monderer, School Department, in regard <br />to future consolidation of health services with the town. Mr. Smith said the <br />Town Manager is looking toward the future in regard to consolidating building <br />maintenance, computers, medical health and nurses, etc. <br />
