Members <br />present were: Dr. William Cosgrove, Chairman, Mr. James Lambie, Dr. <br />Charles Ellicott and Robert C. Heustis. Director of Public Health. <br />The minutes of the October 2. 1972 meeting were approved as <br />presented. <br />Mr. Heustis reported that the Boston Guild for the Hard of HARD OF <br />Hearing was going to conduct a course in lip reading. The course HEARING <br />will be 40 hours and run all day Tuesday and Friday for 4 weeks. <br />He said he had spoken to Mrs. McGonagle of the Red Cross and a <br />few of the Directors of the Nursing Homes. They all seemed very <br />interested and thought some of their members might take advantage <br />of this course. <br />The Board suggested that Mr. Melbye of the Senior Citizens be <br />notified of this course and anyone else that Mr. Heustis thought <br />might be interested. <br />Dr. Cosgrove reported that he had talked to Mr. O'Connell, <br />Town Manager about the Mystic Valley Mental Health Budget, and MYSTIC <br />as the members knew there was a sizable increase requested for VALLEY <br />the coming year. He said he didn't think there was much need MENTAL <br />for the Board to discuss this Budget until such time as there HEALTH <br />is e meeting with a member of the Board of Selectmen. Town BUDGET <br />Manager, and a member of the Board of Health. He said he felt <br />that after that meeting notice would be sent to MVMHA to come <br />up with a realistic request for the coming year. <br />
