221 <br />The Board thanked the gentlemen for coming in and talking <br />to them. <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:00 A.M. <br />BOARD Or' HEALTH MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 13, 1960 <br />The regular meeting of the board of health was held Friday; <br />September 13, 1960, at 7:00 P.N. in the Selectmen&s room <br />or the Town Orrice Building. Ivembers present were R. L. <br />McQuillan, Chairman, Dr. William Cosgrove, and Dr. Oharles <br />Colburn. <br />Mr.. McQuillan explained to the Board that Mr. ieustis, <br />Director of Public health was unable to attend this meeting <br />because of the death of his step -mother. <br />The minutes of the July 19, 196t3 meeting and the minutes <br />of the special milk dealers meeting July 31, 1960 were ap- <br />proved as read. <br />Mc. McQuillan explained to the Hoard that Dr. Foley was <br />coming in to discuss his horse permit. he went on to explain <br />that hr. :ieustis had made an inspection at Dr. i''oley T s on <br />Thursday and found four horses and one pony. he recalled to <br />the board tn.at in May the Hoard bent -over -backwards allowing <br />Dr. Foley to keep d horses until the middle of June and he <br />felt that with this violation the Board should be very stern <br />with Dr. Foley. tie suggested court action or suspending the <br />permit entirely. The Board discussed this problem and agreed <br />that they would talk to Dr. Foley and then make a decision. <br />Mrs. Galen, 46 Marrett Road, and her daughter came before <br />the Board in regard to her application for a permit to keep MRS. <br />one horse at 39-43 Marrett Road, property now owned by the GALE <br />Supreme Council of the Masons. HORSE <br />PERMIT <br />The Board read the letter from Stanley F. Maxwell, Exec- <br />utive Secretary of the Supreme Council of Masons, which stated <br />that permission was granted to iIr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Galen to <br />house the horse in the carriage house on the grounds at 39-43 <br />Marrett Road andit was also agreed that the Galens would care <br />for the premises in a manner agreeable to the Order of Hasons <br />and the Board of health. <br />Permit granted by the Board. <br />At this time a number of other horse permit applications <br />were considered by the Board. <br />The application for p emit to keep 2 horses on the WILDEROTER <br />property of Stanley B. Wilderoter, 114 East Street, was HORSE <br />approved. This request complies with the regulation. These PERMIT <br />horses will be supervised by Frank E. Hodges, 4 Whitman Dr. <br />The manure will be kept in leakproor containers until removed <br />rrom the barn. <br />
