Members present were: <br />R.L. McQuillan, Chairman, Dr. William Cosgrove, James M. <br />West and Richard Albanese, part-time Health Officer. <br />The minutes of the May 1, 1967 Meeting were approved <br />as read. <br />Mr. George Archer of 160 Lincoln Street came before LINCOLN <br />the Board to discuss the problem of unhealthy and hazardous STREET <br />conditions existing at the Lincoln Street dump. DUMP <br />Mr. Archer said he talked to Mr. Lincoln Cole, Chairman <br />of the Board of Selectmen, about this problem and he was <br />now going to explain the situation to the Board of Health. <br />Mr. Archer said he had been to the Selectmen, Health Depart- <br />ment and Public Works Department a year ago and received <br />no satisfaction on this matter. <br />Mr. Archer stated that the Lincoln Street Durip area <br />was full of stagnant water and debris such as an old re- <br />frigerator with"the door still on, old cars and a=large <br />pipe or tank which could be hazardous to children. He <br />went on to explain how drain water from Mr. Wang's house <br />at 143 Lincoln Street was being trapped in one area of the <br />Dump. This is a street drain which drains into the edge <br />of the Dump, the water is then trapped there making a <br />pool of standing water. This water is stagnant -making <br />an ideal situation for the breeding of mosquitos, vermin <br />and etc. <br />About 175 yards in from the street, Mr. Archer went <br />on, there is an old refrigerator with the door still on and <br />about 150 yards beyond there is a number of old cars, and <br />a short distance beyond this a 500 gallon metal tank or <br />old sewer ,pipe. This debris is standing in trapped stagnant <br />water. The water trapped here is either from a brook or <br />a sewage drain pipe which could be broken causing the area <br />
