Chipman <br />The report of calls made by Mr. Lucas of Whitman <br />& Howard on sewage problems for the month was checked <br />by the Board. Also action taken by Mrs. Jones on <br />miscellaneous complaints was checked and approved <br />by the Board. <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M. <br />BOARD OF- HEALTH MEETING <br />May 1, 1967 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Health -was <br />held Monday, May 5, 1967 at 7:00 P.M. in the Health <br />Department Office. Members present were R.L. McQuillan, <br />Chairman, Dr. William Cosgrove and Richard Albanese, <br />Acting Health Officer. <br />The minutes of the April 3, 1967 Meeting were <br />approved as read. <br />Dr. Howard Smith, newly appointed Veterinarian RABIES <br />for the Health Department, came before the Board <br />to discuss the use of a live vaccine for the Rabies <br />clinic. The use of this vaccine will enable people <br />to bring their dogs to Clinic once every two years. <br />Dr. Smith explained to the Board that this type of <br />vaccine has been proven very effective and will keep <br />the dog immunized up to 36 months. Dr. Smith said <br />it would be amatter of educating the public in this <br />procedure. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
