548 <br />ESTABROOK <br />ROAD <br />18 MIDDLE <br />STREET <br />The letter from the Board of Selectmen relative to the <br />extension of the public sewer on Estabrook Road was read by <br />the Board and placed on file. <br />The letter to Maurice A. Gagne, 18 Middle Street, stating <br />that upon investigation of a complaint of rats at 22 Middle St. <br />a pile of rubbish was found in the rear of his property at 18 <br />Middle Street and as this was a public health nuisance the <br />Health Department would appreciate his cooperation in cleaning <br />this rubbish up was approved by the Board. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that this rubbish has been cleaned up <br />and no sign of a rat had been reported in that area in over a <br />month. <br />133 BLOSSOM The letter to Mr. Edward Gourdeau, 133 Blossom Street, <br />STREET stating that the site for the re -location of the private <br />sewage disposal system at 133 Blossom Street was not suitable <br />due to evidence of ledge at three to four feet was approved <br />by the Board. <br />Mr. Lurvey explained that the Right -of -Way Division, <br />Commonwealth of Massachusetts, had asked him to try to re- <br />locate this sanitary system, if no satisfactory. location <br />for the sanitary system can be found then the State must <br />take the house in the land taking for the widening of Route <br />2. <br />'RE -APPOINTMENT <br />OF CHAIRMAN - The: motion. wasamade and dully passed to:yre.*ppoint Mr. <br />McQuillan as Chairman of the Board for the coming year. <br />The Board approved the Whitman & Howard, Inc., bill for <br />engineering services through May 29 for payment. <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M. <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />BOARD OF HEALTH <br />JULY 12, 1962 <br />Due to the fact that two nights had been set aside during <br />the month of July to interview applicants for the position of <br />Executive Health Officer the Board agreed, rather than have a <br />regular meeting in July, to take care of any business requir- <br />ing the Boards action after the interviews were completed <br />July 12, 1962. <br />All members being present the Board after reviewing the <br />interviews and resumes of all applicants for the position of <br />Executive Health Officer voted to employ Mr. James Finneran <br />of the Brookline Health Department. <br />1 <br />1 <br />The minutes of the May 24 and June 28 meetings were approved. <br />
