HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-07-12548 ESTABROOK ROAD 18 MIDDLE STREET The letter from the Board of Selectmen relative to the extension of the public sewer on Estabrook Road was read by the Board and placed on file. The letter to Maurice A. Gagne, 18 Middle Street, stating that upon investigation of a complaint of rats at 22 Middle St. a pile of rubbish was found in the rear of his property at 18 Middle Street and as this was a public health nuisance the Health Department would appreciate his cooperation in cleaning this rubbish up was approved by the Board. Mr. Lurvey reported that this rubbish has been cleaned up and no sign of a rat had been reported in that area in over a month. 133 BLOSSOM The letter to Mr. Edward Gourdeau, 133 Blossom Street, STREET stating that the site for the re -location of the private sewage disposal system at 133 Blossom Street was not suitable due to evidence of ledge at three to four feet was approved by the Board. Mr. Lurvey explained that the Right -of -Way Division, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, had asked him to try to re- locate this sanitary system, if no satisfactory. location for the sanitary system can be found then the State must take the house in the land taking for the widening of Route 2. 'RE -APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN - The: motion. wasamade and dully passed to:yre.*ppoint Mr. McQuillan as Chairman of the Board for the coming year. The Board approved the Whitman & Howard, Inc., bill for engineering services through May 29 for payment. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M. SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF HEALTH JULY 12, 1962 Due to the fact that two nights had been set aside during the month of July to interview applicants for the position of Executive Health Officer the Board agreed, rather than have a regular meeting in July, to take care of any business requir- ing the Boards action after the interviews were completed July 12, 1962. All members being present the Board after reviewing the interviews and resumes of all applicants for the position of Executive Health Officer voted to employ Mr. James Finneran of the Brookline Health Department. 1 1 The minutes of the May 24 and June 28 meetings were approved.
