BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />. MAY 24, 1962 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Health was held Thursday <br />May 24, 1962, at 7:30 P.M. in the Selectmen's Room of the Town <br />Office Building. Members present were R. L. McQuillan, Chairman, <br />Dr. William Cosgrove, Mr. James West and Executive Health Officer, <br />Mark D. Lurvey. <br />The minutes of the April 26, 1962, meeting were approved as <br />read. <br />541 <br />The order to abate the nuisance of an over -flowing cesspool 23 APPLE - <br />sent to Mr. Valentino J. Tocci, 23 Appletree Lane, was approved <br />by the Board. Mr. Lurvey reported he had not heard from Mr. Tocci <br />and the time allowed for abating this nuisance was up and her would <br />like permission to obtain a court order Friday morning against Mr. <br />Tocci. <br />The Board voted and passed the motion that permission be grant- <br />ed Mr. Lurvey to stabt court action against Mr. Tocci. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that the court order against Mr. Sabatino <br />Dionisio, 673 Waltham Street, had been cancelled because the open 673 WAL- <br />trench with sewage had been corrected. THAM ST. <br />The report from Whitman & Howard, Inc., on Lots 7, 8, 9, 10 <br />and 11 in the subdivision of Greener & Whiter Trust was read by EMERSON RD <br />the Board. Mr. Lurvey explained that this subdivision was approved <br />in 1961 and these were lots that we had originally stipulated could <br />not be built upon without prior consent of the Board of Health. <br />Greener and Whiter will raise the grade on these lots and submit a <br />drainage plan before permission to build can be granted. Lot 7 <br />is slightly higher than the other lots and therefore permission <br />to build, has been granted for that lot only. <br />The letter from Minute Man Highland Association stating MINUTE MAN <br />the areas they thought were breeding places for rats was read HIGHLAND ASS <br />by the Board. Mr. Lurvey said he had checked these areas many <br />times and felt they were not breeding places. The Board instruc- <br />ted Mr. Lurvey to acknowledge this letter. <br />The letter to the Board of Selectmen requesting an additional POLIO <br />$2,200. for the Oral Sabin Vaccine tobe administered to all VACCINE <br />school children through grades 12 was approved by the Board. <br />The state has supplied enough vaccine to do pre-schoolers and <br />first graders but in order to do the entire school age children <br />the Health Department must pay for the additional vaccine. <br />Mr. McQuillan reported that the Board of Selectmen had app- <br />roved this amount but has not,as yet, decided which account the <br />money should come from or if the Health Department would have to <br />put a special request in the Town Warrent in the Pall. <br />The letter to the Board of Selectmen regarding the extension ESTABROOS <br />of public sewer on Estabrook Road was approved by the Board. Mr. <br />
