530 <br />MOTION: <br />"The Board of Health of Lexington, Massachusetts, <br />assigns the parcels of land situated southerly <br />of Hartwell Avenue, Lexington, Massachusetts, as <br />shown on map of plan of land of Lexington, of <br />May 26, 1961, John J. Carroll, Engineer, to be <br />used as a dumping ground for rubbish and other <br />refuse for the Town of Lexington," <br />GARBAGE The letter to the Board of Selectmen stating the number <br />j COMPLAINTS of garbage complaints received by the Health Der.artment was <br />read and noted by the Board. <br />Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P.M. The next regular <br />meeting of the Board of Health will be held March 22, 1962. <br />BOARD -OF HEALTH MEETING <br />MARCH 22, 1962 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of health was held <br />Thursday, March 22, 1962, at 7:30 P.M. in the Health Office. <br />Members rresent were: Chairman, R.L. McQuillan, Mr. James <br />M. West -ITT? Health Off; � Mark D. Lurvey. <br />Minutes of the February 20, 1962, meeting and also the <br />minutes of the Special Meeting, March 12, 1962, were read and <br />approved. <br />PO WARD ST. Mr. Lurvey explained that Mrs. William Lee, 67 Ward St., <br />was waiting to come before the Board in regard to the pro- <br />blem of the complaint received by the Health Department of <br />an open privey in the rear of her home at 67 Ward Street. <br />Mr. McQuillan explained that after on Cr the recent <br />meetings Mr. Leonard Jellis, 115 Reed Street, called him <br />and complained about this privey at Mrs. Lee's home. <br />Mr. West reported that he had the same complaint issued <br />at a recent precinct meeting. <br />Mr. McQuillan and Mr. Lurvey investigated this complaint <br />and found the outside privey at 67 Ward Street, A letter was <br />written to Mr. Lee, 67 Ward Street, requesting his cooperation <br />in abating this nuisance. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that the privey had been taken down <br />and Mrs. Lee made arrangements to have a bathroom installed. <br />When the plumbers went to install the bathroom and realized <br />public sewer was available they did not want to go to work <br />until they had checked with Mr. Lurvey. Mrs. Lee has re- <br />quested that permission be granted by the Board for them to <br />use the existing cesspool until such time they can afford <br />to connect to the public sewer. <br />The Board had a shor discussion regarding this request <br />and then asked Mrs. Lee to come in. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
