529 <br />The letter to Miss Morrison in regard to the tuberculosis TUBERCULOSI <br />case reported to this office was approved by the Board. Mr. PATIENT <br />Lurvey explained he talked with Dr. Pyle on this case and as <br />this was Dr. Pyle's patient he said he was of the opinion this <br />was an arrested case of tuberculosis. This patient was examined <br />at Middlesex County Sanatorium and was advised by the Sanatorium <br />to be admitted for further study. The patient refused and that <br />was why Dr. Pyle was contacted. Dr. Pyle also reported he had <br />sent this patient to a specialist, Dr. Stiener, who also feels <br />this patient is not a threat to the public. Miss Morrison was <br />notified of this case and also told that the patient was under <br />the strict supervision of Dr. Pyle and Dr. Stiener and there- <br />fore the usual follow-up program done by the L. V. N. A. was <br />not necessary in this case. <br />• The letter to Dr. Pyle explaining the proposed plan for DIPTHERIA <br />the innoculation of school children and pre-school children & TETANUS <br />was approved by the Board. It is Mr. Lurvey's plan that a CLINIC <br />clinic be held annually for all pre-school children, 5th grade <br />pupils and sophomores in High School for innoculation against <br />Tetanus, Diptheria and possible Poliomyelities. This plan is <br />for Booster doses only. This plan is not accepted yet and is <br />still under advisement. <br />The following appointments were made by the Board for the APPOINT - <br />coming year. MENTS <br />Slaughteering Inspector Mark D. Lurvey <br />Animal Inspector Carl R. Benton, Vet <br />Asst. Animal Inspector Mark D. Lurvey <br />These appointments must be approved by the State Department. <br />State applications for these appointments were signed b� the <br />Board, and the clerk instructed to forward them to the proper <br />department. <br />The Whitman & Howard, Inc., bill was approved for payment. <br />The next regular meeting of the Board of Health will be held <br />Thursday, March 22, 1962. <br />Meeting was adjourned at 8:L.5 P.M. <br />• SPECIAL MEETING <br />BOARD OF HEALTH <br />MARCH 12, 1962 <br />A special meeting of the Board of health was held Monday <br />evening, March 12, 1962, in the Board of Health Office. Mem- <br />bers present were: Chairman, R.L. McQuillan, Mr. James M. West <br />and Health Officer, Mark D. Lurvey. <br />The following motion regarding the new land site for a <br />new municipal dump was made and passed by the Board. SITE <br />TOWN DUMPING°. <br />
