523 BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING JANUARY 25, 1962 The regular meeting of the Board of Health was held Thursday January 25, 1962, at 7:30 P.M. in the Health Department office. Members present were Acting Chairman, Dr. William Cosgrove, Mr. James. West and Executive Health Officer, Mark D. Lurvey. The minutes of the December 18, 1961, meeting were approved as read. The letter to Mr. Donald Nickerson, Chairman of the Board CHILD CARE: of Appeals, regarding the inspections of the Child Care Centers CENTERS was approved, by the Board. Each year after the annual inspec- tions of all Child Care Centers operating in Lexington Mr. Lurvey reports to the Board of Appeals all his findings in order that they may have the information when the owners of private child Care Centers come before the Board of Appeals for renewal.. of their permits. The information on the re -draft of Article VI of the State STATE SAN- Sanitary Code dated December 4, 1961 was reviewed by the Board. ITARY CODE Mr. Lurvey explained that the Sanitary Code is a minimum of re- quirements by the State Health Department and is being revised at this time by the State Health Department. Articles 1, 2 and 3 have now been officially adopted. Mr. Lurvey reported that he had new Commendation Certificates printed and would like the Boardts permission to change all the COMMENDA-I Certificates now in the restaurants which have them. Permission TION CER granted. Mr. Lurvey also asked permission of the Board to issue TIFICATES a Commendation Certificate to Minuteman Restaurant. Mr. Lurvey stated that the present owner keeps a nice clean plane, has made improvements and cooperates with the Health Department at all times. Motion was made and dully seconded by the Board that the Minuteman Restaurant, upon Mr. Lurveyts recommendation, should be issued a Commendation Certificate. The Commendation Certificate for Minuteman Restaurant was signed by the Board. The reports on "Bowser Saddle Club Estates, Section 1" was BOWSER read by tha Board. SADDLE CLUE ESTATES, Mr. Lurvey reported that Mr. Lucas of Whitman & Howard Inc. SECTIONI had checked this subdivision and although only part of this subdivision can be connected to public sewer the other part can have satisfactory private sanitary systems installed. The sewer line is too high to take care of the low part of this subdivision and Mr. John Carroll, Public Works Superintendent feels it would be too costly to install ejection pumps for the public sewer. A motion was made and dully seconded by the Board that the definitive subdivision plan entitled "Bowser Saddle Club Estates, Section 1," be approved.
