The plumber was ready to have the Dental
Equipment installed and the electrician had a little more work to
do, but the Clinic will soon be ready for use within the next
week or two.
It was voted that the next meeting of the Board of Health
would be held Monday, December 18, 1961. The clerk was instructed
to obtain a conference room in the Cary Hall if no other space
was available.
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
DECEMBER 18, 1961
The regular meeting of the Board of Health was held Monday,
December 18, 1961, at 7:30 P.M. in the Health Office. Members
present were Mr.' R.L. McQuillan, Chairman, Dr. William Cosgrove
and Health Officer, Mark D. Lurvey.
The minutes of the November 22, 1961, meeting were approved
as read.
MINUTEMAN The subdivision entitled "Minuteman Research Park" was dis-
RESEARCH approved by the Board because of lack of sufficient information
(PARK regarding the sewage facilities for this subdivision.
Mr. Lurvey explained to the Board that he had talked to
Mr. Damone, who represents Cabot, Cabot, & Forbes, Inc., regard-
ing this problem and Mr. Damon has assured Mr. Lurvey that re-
vised plans will be sent to the Health Department which will
show the plans for sewage disposal facilities. Mr. Lurvey said
as soon as the new plans..are received he will contact Mr. Lucas
of Whitman & Howard, Inc. and have him check this subdivision
before any further action is taken by the Health Department.
kKINGSTON HOMES The letter to the Planning Board stating that Lots 1,2 and
INC. 3 of the Kingston Homes, Inc. subdivision off Maple Street
could be properly drained was approved by the Board.
Mr. Lurvey explained that these lots were originally dis-
approved in the Letter of October 23, 1961 to the planning
Board, but a re-examination by Mr. Lucas at the request of the
builder showed these Lots could be satisfactorily drained. Mr.
Lurvey further explained that often when our engineer examines
these Lots they are not adequately marked and therefore it is
very difficult for him to know just where the sewage system is
to be placed or if the Lots are right for drainage; such was the
case in.this subdivision and on the re-examination the builder
was present and therefore was able to designate the Lots in
question properly.
