448 <br />The Budget standing of the Board of Health was discussed <br />by the Board. The Board felt we were•staying well within <br />our budget.. <br />Meeting adjourned at 5:15 P.M. <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF BOARD OF HEALTH <br />OCTOBER 24, 1960 <br />A Special meeting of the Board of Health was held on <br />October 24, 1960 at the Lexington Inn at 12:00 noon. Mem- <br />bers present were Chairman, Mr. R. L. McQuillan, Dr. Cosgrove <br />Mr. Charles Cole and Health Officer Mark D. Lurvey. <br />The purpose of this special meeting was to discuss the <br />problem of the stock piling of manure at Potter's 'iggery. <br />1 visit to the piggery was made and an inspection of the <br />manure piles was made by the Board. <br />After the visit to the piggery and a short discussion <br />of the manure piles at the piggery the Board voted to <br />send Mr. William Potter, Walnut Farm Trust, a letter in <br />which was stated that: the existing manure piles in the <br />area the members of the Board of Health and Mr. William <br />Potter, Jr. examined on October 24, 1960 shall be lerelad <br />off to a height of not more than two feet and covered with <br />one foot of earth. This must be done by November 28, 1960. <br />All new dumping must not be in large piles, as is the <br />present case, but shall be trenched or leveled off and, at <br />least weekly, covered with one foot of earth. <br />As the problem of Potter's Piggery is in the hands of <br />the Town Council a copy of this letter was sent to Mr. Harold <br />Stevens, Town Council, and also a copy to Mr. Potter's attorney <br />Mr. James E.
