441 <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that he has had a number of complaints OLD BARN <br />about an old barn on North Street being a harborage for rats NORTH ST. <br />upon investigation he found only old signs of rats. The barn <br />is old and falling down and something should be done about it <br />as it stands now it is a Safety hazard. The Board voted to refer <br />this to the Board of Selectmen. <br />Mr. Lurvey also explained about the old house DeVries is OLD HOUSE <br />now using as an office at the Lowell Estates. There is quite DEVRIES <br />a lot of broken glass from the windows and also some open stair. PROPERTY <br />wells which make it a hazard for children in the neighborhood. <br />The Board agreed Mr. Lurvey should write a letter to Mr. Devries <br />calling to his attention these hazards. <br />Lurvey reported he had checked on the Summer, Lowell Street <br />brook at the Arlington Land Fill project with Mr. Nickerson, State SUMMER' <br />Engineer. The Board instructed Mr. Lurvey to send a copy of Mr. ST. BROCj <br />Nickersonts report to the Town of Arlington. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that he had borrowed a polaroid camera PERMISSION <br />from a camera shop here in town and had used it to take pictures FOR EQUIP- <br />of several complaints he had received. Mr. Lurvey said he MEM' <br />thought a camera of this type would be valuable to the department <br />to be used on questionable complaints and controversial projects. <br />The Board granted Mr.Lurvey permission to purchase a polaroid <br />camera. <br />Meeting was adj)urned at 5:10 P.M. <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />BOARD OF HEALTH <br />September 22, 1960 <br />A special meeting was held by the Board of Health Thursday <br />September 22, 1960 at 8:00 P.M. in Estabrook Hall. Members present <br />were Chairman, Mr. R.L. McQuillan, Dr. William Cosgrove, Mr. Charles <br />Cole and Health Officer, Mark D. Lurvey. <br />Before the meeting was called to order Mr. McQuillan explained <br />to the nembers of the Minute Man Highland Association that as this <br />was a meeting of the Board of Health all action taken by the Board <br />must be done and then any questions and further discussion would be <br />welcomed by the Board. <br />Meeting was called to order at 8:05 P.M. <br />The following vote was made by the Board on Potter's Piggery. <br />Voted: "that due to the residential development of the <br />area the time has come when the operation of the piggery <br />at 32 Walnut Street by the Walnut Farm Trust must be <br />brought to an end; that as this piggery has existed for <br />
