383 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />July 28, 1959 <br />A meeting of the Board of Health was held in the conference <br />room of the Board of "ealth Office Tuesday evening, July 28th, <br />1959 at 7:30 P.M. with Chairman McQuillan, Mr. Gole, Doctor <br />Cosgrove and Health Officer Lurvey present. <br />The minutes of the July 17, 1959 meeting were corrected <br />and approved by the Board and a new set of minutes will be <br />mailed to each member stating that they are corrected. <br />Because of the letter from the Town Co}incil stating that <br />all clinics are under the jurisdiction of the Board of health DENTAL <br />Mrs. Elizabeth Haroian, Lhairman of the Dental Clinic, met with CLINIC <br />the Board of Health at a regular meeting on July 28th, 1959. <br />Mrs. Haroian explained the duties of the school Dental Hygienist <br />they are: <br />1. Assist the Dentist at Clinic <br />2. Examine all children's teeth <br />3. Educate the children in correct dental Hygiene. <br />Due to thepresent salary paid to the Dental Hygenist, Mrs. Porter <br />felt that she could not stay on in her present position. Mr. <br />McQuillan has turned the Dental Clinic over to Dr. Cosgrove. In <br />the mean time the Board of Health will talk to Mrs. Porter and <br />see if some sort of an arrangement can be made with her to stay <br />on in her present position. Mrs. Haroian is to write to Mrs. <br />Porter and tell her of her meeting with the Board of Health. <br />It was also suggested that the present members of the Dental <br />Clinic continue in their present capacity and the Board of Health <br />would act as their over -seer and spokes -man. <br />Both Mr. Cole and Dr. Cosgrove were unable to attend the <br />Board Meeting of July 17, 1959. Mr. McQuillan explained to <br />them about the Regent Delicatessen, the Child Care Center at <br />8 Oxbow Road, and the Oak Hill Estates. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that the polio clinic was shaping <br />up good and that the vaccine would cost $86.00. Mr. Lurvey <br />also explained that we had contacted by phone all people who <br />have called inquiring about a polio clinic, and that we had <br />put an add in the Minute Man, notices in six store windows <br />and an announcement was sent to Dave Maynard and a notice was <br />sent to all Departments in the Town Offices. <br />Letter to Grabill Ley & Martin was approved. The land <br />they inquired about at #7 & 9 Lillian Road was low but because <br />they were connected to the Public Sewer the land was approved. <br />Letter to Mr. Bessette concerning the preliminary plan of <br />the "Grant Estate Subdivision" was approved. <br />The letter to Five Fields Pool, Inc. Barberry Road was <br />approved. The letter stated the results of the water tests <br />Mr. Lurvey had made. <br />The letter to J. W.
