378 <br />-3- <br />Miss Joanne Carota, 24 Tarbell Avenue, was interviewed <br />by the Board for the position of secretary and clerk for the <br />Health Department. It was voted to appoint Miss Carota to <br />this position starting June 22, 1959. <br />The Board reviewed action taken by the Health Officer <br />against Charles Centore, 32 Lawrence Lane. Mr. Centore <br />had added a laboratory sink in the basement against Board <br />of Health regulations. This has been corrected. <br />Mr. Lurvey discussed the matter of responsibility of <br />the School Dental Clinic with the Board.It was decided <br />to await action on this pending a conference Mr. Lurvey <br />has arranged with Dr. Dunham, State District Health Office. <br />The Board voted to approve the Arlex Child Care Center <br />for the year. <br />The Board asked Mr. Lurvey to get a statement on our <br />budget to date from the Town Accountant. <br />The Board voted to pay the Sachetti tuberculosis drug <br />bill until further notice. Mr. McQui ian.is to investigate <br />the price on this drug. June 26, 1959 <br />MAN 1 <br />MEETINGS <br />A meeting of the Board of Health was held on Friday <br />June 26, 1959, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Offices, at 8 <br />P.M. with Chairman McQuillan, Doctor Cosgrove, Mr. Cole and <br />Health Officer Lurvey present. <br />The Corner Variety Store, 856 Massachusetts Avenue, has CORNER <br />not cooperated in maintaining proper sanitary conditions. VARIETY <br />The Board of Health decided to write a letter listing the STORE <br />violations of which the Corner Variety Store will have to <br />comply. <br />John Sellars application for a license to operate a SELLAR <br />pasturization plant at 430 Concord Avenue was discussed. It <br />was the opinion of the Board that a license should not be <br />issued until the plant is put into operating condition. The <br />Board of Health voted to send a letter stating the conditions <br />that would have to be improved before a license can be issued. <br />The Board of Health is interested in the dental clinic.
