298 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />June 21, 1957 <br />A regular monthly meeting of the Board of Fealth was held <br />on Friday, June 21, 1957, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Health <br />Offices, at 3 P.M. Dr. Cosgrove, Mr. Cole and Mr. Lurvey were <br />present. <br />Two subdivisions were approved. Battle View Park, Section <br />Sub- 2, owner, Ralph Frissore. Battle Green Village, Section 2, <br />Divisions Ross. Mr. Frissore's land is off Laconia Street, Battle Green <br />Village is in the Hastings School area. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that the sewage problem at 249 Marrett <br />Marrett Road is being corrected, the last of the group on Marrett Road <br />,Road asked to correct conditions there. Mr. Ferreira bought some <br />adjacent land in order to have the necessary area. <br />Mr. Peter Canessa, 905 Massachusetts Avenue, has his over- <br />flow leaching line in, and Mr. Lurvey is expecting to be called <br />as soon as the cesspool has been pumped out to check the size. <br />A letter was received from Mr. Richard Rodenhiser, 294 <br />:Rodehhiser Lincoln Street, Allston, agreeing to send in the trucks used <br />in his cesspool pumping work in Lexington for inspection. One <br />truck had been checked but others were being used in the town. <br />Mr. Winfield Caouette, Jr., 28 Balfour Street, has been <br />Caouette given a Poultry Permit after the Board's reconsideration of <br />the case. He is to live up to certain conditions, and will be <br />given a Permit for 12 Poultry instead of the original 25 asked. <br />Because of a complaint of overflowing cesspool in the rear <br />OFCP of 37-35 Spring Street, the owners, Harry J. and Anita G. <br />Haroutunian, have been order to connect to the public sewer. <br />A letter from Mr. Ralph J. Frissore, Lexington builder, and <br />President of the Lexington Building Associates, concerning the <br />policy of subdivision engineering was discussed at some length. <br />Mr. T'rtssore feels that the builders would like to have the <br />Sub- Board of Health contact the engineers for the builders, and <br />•Division have a set fee for each lot, to be paid by the builders to the <br />Policy Town of Lexington thru the Health Department. Mr. Lucas of <br />Whitman & Howard will ask Mr. Howard if a fee can be set. <br />Mr. Lurvey suggested Mr. Harold Stevens be asked for his legal <br />advice of handling this matter. The Board will take no action <br />until word is received from fir. Lucas. If the Building Associ- <br />ates wish a meeting with the Board to discuss the policy, the <br />Board will be glad to meet with them. <br />Mr. McQuillan was unanimously re-elected Chairman of the <br />Board for the coming year 1957-58. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that the Ennis family intend to pur- <br />chase the Helburn property at 3126 Massachusetts Avenue and <br />establish a 'Child Care Center. This will have to be approved <br />by the Board of Appeals as well as the Board of Health. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
