292 <br />New Office A letter was written to Mr. John Brooks, 'Chairman of the <br />Equipment Building Committee for the new Town Office Building, in regard <br />to office equipment needed for the Health Department. <br />The meeting adjourned at 5.05 P.M. <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />April 26, 1957 <br />Clerk <br />A regular monthly meeting of the Board of Health was held <br />on Friday, April 26, 1957 in the Selectmen's Room, Town Offices <br />at 3.30 P.M. Chairman McQuillan, Dr. Cosgrove and Mr. Lurvey <br />were present. <br />The following lettere received by the Health Officer during <br />the month were read: <br />I Correspond- <br />ence <br />Appoint- <br />ments <br />From Mr. Richard Rodenhiser, Electric Sewer Cleaning Company, <br />re his non-attendance at the Board of Health meeting last <br />month. <br />From Mr. Francis H. Kingsbury, Acting Chief Sanitary Engi- <br />neer, Department of Public Health, Commonwealth of Massa- <br />chusetts, re water samples from Hemeon, Pleasant Street. <br />From Mr. Raymond James, Chairman, Selectmen, re conditions <br />on Marrett Road with reference to sewage problems. <br />From Mr. Francis H. Kingsbury, Acting Deputy' Commissioner, <br />Environmental Sanitation, Massachusetts, relative to toxicity <br />of swamp water in Minute Man Highlands Subdivision. <br />From Dr. Roy Feemster, Director, Division of Communicable <br />Diseases, State House, re Booster Program. <br />From Mr. Richard Gayer, Superintendent of Public Works, re <br />new sewage dumping area. <br />From Dr. Samuel Kirkwood, Commissioner of Public Health, <br />re invitation to annual meeting of Boards of Health at <br />University of Massachusetts, Amherst, on Friday, June 14, <br />at 3.30 P.M. <br />The following appointments for the year ending March 31, <br />1958, were approved: Mark D. Lurvey, Executive Health Officer <br />and Inspector of Slaughtering; Dr. Carl R. Benton, Animal <br />Inspector; Miss Hazel J. Murray, Agent; Mr. Howard D. Carley, <br />and Mr. Thomas S. Bowdidge, Special Agents, Metropolitan State <br />Haepital; and Mrs. Anita MacDonald, Clerk. <br />Mr. McQuillan appointed Mr. Cole as a member of the Hospital <br />Hospital Committee to represent the Board of Health, and asked that Mr. <br />Committee James J. Carroll, Town Clerk, and Mr. Charles Ferguson, Modera- <br />tor be so notified. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
