286 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />January 18, 1957 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held on Friday, <br />January 18, 1957, at 3 P.M. Present were Chairman McQuillan, <br />Dr. Cosgrove, and Mr. Lurvey. <br />Mr. McQuillan reported that the 1957 budget for the Board <br />Budget of Health was discussed at the meeting of the Appropriations <br />Committee on Monday, January 14, 1957, and no objections were <br />found. <br />Annual Reports of the Board and the Executive Health Officer <br />Annual are ready to be sent to the Board of Selectmen. <br />Reports <br />Licenses <br />The following Licenses were <br />John A. Dr. Benton submitted a bill for !12.00 for trans - <br />Bills portation of two animal heads to the Diagnostic Laboratory <br />in Jamaica Plain for rabies examination. The Board agreed to <br />pay the bill, but suggested that another year allowance should <br />be made in the budgetfor such an item. <br />Animal An application for an Animal Permit to keep a pony from <br />Permit Mr. Edmund Cady, 45 Balfour Street, was approved. <br />The Health Officer's monthly report was discussed. <br />Mr. Lurvey was asked what the status of the Polio Program <br />Polio is at this time. New permanent consent cards are to be printed, <br />Program and third or booster shots will be started in late February or <br />March. A quarter page ad in the Minute Man to notify eligible <br />people was agreed on. <br />The new owner of Martin's Drug Store wondered why he was <br />not allowed to distribute biologics and vaccines to the doctors. <br />It was explained that the Theatre Pharmacy is now the oldest in <br />ownership, and so was given the distributorship when Martin's <br />changed hands. <br />Biologic <br />Distribu- <br />torship <br />1 <br />1 <br />
