223 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />March 26, 1954 <br />The Regular meeting of the Board of Health was held Friday, <br />March 26, 1954 at 3 P.M. in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office <br />Building. Chairman R . L.. McQuillan was present. Mr. Richard <br />Jackson, Health Sanitarian, and the Clerk were also present. <br />Mrs. Caroline Packard Corcoran appeared before the Board <br />relative to an application for a permit to keep animals in be- Mrs. <br />helaf of her father, Ernest Packard. Mr. Packard had not made Cor <br />application for such a permit heretofore and a letter was sent Goran <br />to him by the Board asking for an explanation. Mr. Packard was <br />unaward that such a permit was necessary. Mrs. Corcoran asked <br />to increase the number of animals to be kept on these premises, <br />namely 272 Concord Avenue, and the Chairman agreed to this. <br />Letter was received from the Planning Board re: DeVries <br />Construction 6o., Sun Valley subdivision. These lots according sun <br />to the plans are all to be connected to the public sewer, and Valle <br />the drainage system has been approved by Mr. Burns, Town <br />Engineer. The Chairman requested that a letter be sent to the <br />Planning Board of the Board's approval of the plans as submitted. <br />The matter of the premature Fidler baby was held over until Mrs.1 <br />next meeting pending receipt of forms to be filled out by Mrs. Fiat <br />Fidler which have not as yet been received by the Board. <br />A letter was received from Mr. Stevens, Town Counsel, advising <br />that a Bill of Complaint had been entered in Middlesex Superior <br />Court against William Dailey for keeping swine on his premises Wm. <br />without a permit. Dai]e ' <br />Letter was received from the Department of Health of <br />Belmont, relative to the formation of a cooperative laboratory <br />with Watertown and Lexington. The Chairman requested that Mr. <br />Jackson contact these two Boards and get some definite plans <br />to present to the Board and what we would gain by such a merger. <br />Report from L. V. N. A. noted. <br />A letter was sent to Mrs. Wilda M. Ward calling her attention <br />to the fact that she had not made application for a license <br />for the Day Care of Children previously, and that herediter Wilda <br />such applications must be presented each year. Ward <br />In Mr. Jackson's report on Slaughtering, he reported the <br />fact that at a routine check-up, Dr. Karasoff, Dept. of Health <br />Veterinary Inspector found twelve unstamped hog carcasses be- Mr. <br />longing to Mr. Davis. Mr. McQuillan requested that a letter Davis <br />be written to Mr. Davis asking that he appear before the Board <br />at their next regular meeting April 16 to discuss the matter. <br />
