268 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH nflEETING <br />March 16, 1956 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held in <br />the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on March 16, <br />1956, at 3 P.M. Present were Chairman McQuillan, Mr. Cole <br />and Mr. Lurvey. <br />Mr. McQuillan said the proposed budget for personal <br />Budget services was not approved as submitted by the Board of Health <br />but was cut. There is to be a special meeting of the Salary <br />Schedule Committee and the Board of Selectmen tomorrow morning <br />March 17, in the Town Office Building, Selectmen's Room. <br />Mr. McQuillan will attend and discuss the subject with the <br />members. <br />The February report of the Lexington Visiting Nurses. <br />Association was noted and approved. <br />Bills to the amount of $691.09 were discussed and approved <br />Bills for payment. <br />Whitman & Howard, Engineers $269.21 <br />Lexington Visiting Nurses Assn. 145.83 <br />Middlesex County Sanatorium 130.50 <br />Joseph Vitale, dog burials 4.00 <br />H.B.McArdle, office supplies 41.50 ' <br />A.B.Dick Co., office supplies 4.25 <br />Railway Express Agency 1.80 <br />Diphtheria Clinic, doctors, nurses <br />and clerical help 80.00 <br />Dr. W.W.Harrington, professional <br />services, rabies treatment 14. <br />Mr. Lurvey's report for the period February 20 to March <br />16 was discussed item by item. Mr. Lurvey spoke of the lack <br />of cooperation at the Minute Man Restaurant. <br />45 Earle St. The problem of deplorable living conditions at Kelley's, <br />45 Earle Street, was brought up. A letter will be sent to <br />Mr. Joseph Kelley stating the changes that must be made in <br />order to comply with the rules and regulations of the Board. <br />Unless these conditions are met, the house will be closed as <br />uninhabitable. <br />Mr. McQuillan dictated a letter to be sent to Mrs. Alice <br />Mrs. Shannon Shannon of 321 Bedford Street. It is the Board's decision <br />that the connection of her property to the sewer be made by <br />May 1, 1956. It is felt that Mrs. Shannon has been given <br />more than enough time and consideration to do this. The town <br />will make the connection if Mrs. Shannon has not complied <br />before May 1. Because of the snowstorm, Mrs. Shannon was <br />unable to get to the 3.30 P.M. appointment with the Board. <br />Mr. Donald D. Wilson's application for a permit to keep <br />400 poultry at 6 Pleasant Street, a renewal, was granted. <br />A letter is to be sent to the Planning Board suggesting <br />a meeting together with the Board of Health on the question <br />Animal <br />Permit <br />Planning <br />Board <br />1 <br />1 <br />
