HomeMy WebLinkAbout1954-01-15220 BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING January 15, 1954 The regular meeting of the Board of Health was held Friday, January 15th., 1954 at 3.00 P.M. in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. Mr. McQuillan, Chairman, Dr. Cosgrove and Mr. Cole were present. Mr. Richard Jackson, Health Sanitarian, and the Clerk were also present. Mortimer A letter from Mr. A. L. Mortimer with regard to his connect- ing to the Manor sewer was presented to the Board. It was sug- gested by the Chairman that Mr. Mortimer be contacted and asked to appear before the Board at their next regular meeting to dis- cuss this situation. Animal Dr. John Murphy's report as Animal Inspector for the first Inspe,ctdr three months of the year 1953 was noted. L.V.N.A. report for the month of December, 1953, also noted. Sunnyknoll Whitman& Howard's report on the sewage disposal facilities _Terrace of Sunnyknoll Terrace received and approved by the Board pro- viding the developer accepts the recommendations as suggested in the x®port. Swine The Chairman requested that a letter be sent to Mr. Stevens, Town Counsel, inquiring as to what is being done on the matter of Mr. William Dailey keeping swine on Marrett Road. The members of the Board request Mr. Jackson to get bids on publishing the new Rules and Regulations of the Board of Health. Animal It was also recommended by the Board that a letter be sent Permits to all persons keeping livestock on their premises who have not made application for a permit, to appear before the Board at their meeting, to explain their reason for dot doing so. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to grant the following permits and licenses - Community Nursery School Madeleine C. Harrison Grey Nun's Charities Lawrence Farms D. & N. Disposal Service Forsythe & Mabey 2 horses, 28 cows, 100 poultry, 100 swine Jr. 18 cows 1 horse, 45 poultry 20 cows, 50 poultry Connell 50 poultry 20-30 poultry, 3-4 swine Jr. 5 sheep, 1000 poultry, 300 turkeys 1 horse, 1 cow Licenses Remits Day Care for Children ck Pasteurization of milk Rubbish w Carroll Bros. John D. Chiesa, Wm. F. Cowles Ernest Johnson Catherine V. 0' T. A. Richards Manuel G. Rose, A. B. West 1 Report of the Health Sanitarian for period December 13th., 1953 - January 14th., 1954 noted.
