211 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />September 18, 1953 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held in the <br />Selectmen's Rooms, Town Office Building, on September 18, 1953 <br />at 3.00 P.M.Chairman McQuillan and Dr. Cosgrove were present. <br />Mr. Jackson, Health Sanitarian, and the Clerk were also present. <br />Letters from residents of the Sunnyfield area were presented <br />to the Board asking for extension of time to connect to the sewer, Sunny <br />due to financial conditions at this time. The Board agreed to Field <br />six months extension and suggested that letters be sent to these area <br />residents advising them of this extension. Those residents who <br />have not signified their intentions as yet are to be notified by <br />the Town Counsel asking them what they intend to do in regard to <br />connecting to the sewer. <br />The Board requests that the matter of R. Conran Savoye's refusal <br />to connect to the sewer in the Manor area be turned over to the <br />Town Counsel for action. <br />Copy of letter from James T. Scriven to Mr. Gay, Selectman, <br />with regard to collection of garbage was read and no action taken. <br />July and August reports of the L.V.N.A. read and filed. <br />Mr. Potter appeared before the Board with regard to Monsignore's <br />slaughter house stating that this slaughter house was the one that <br />took care of the farmer in Lexington and he was under the impression <br />that the license might be revoked. Mr. McQuillan stated that the <br />Board did not intend to revoke the license to Monsignore 'taut that <br />a Mr. Davis was slaughtering at M onsignore's without a license. <br />Mr. Potter retired at 3.30 P.M. <br />Mr. Baskin appeared before the Board at 3.40 relative to the <br />subdivision off Williams Road. A further r® ort had been furnished <br />by Whitman & Howard and it was suggested by mr. Lucas of Whitman <br />& Howard, and Mr. Burns, that the storm drain be shifted to the <br />other side of the road to take care of the drainage problem. Williaelr <br />Also four or five lots are low and Mr. Mc'uillan advised that each Rd. <br />lot shall be individually inspected. Tt was requested that <br />Mr. Baskin give us a letter accepting these changes to be made <br />in the plans, and the Board would then inform the Planning Board <br />that the Board approves. Mr. Baskin retired at 4.10 P.M. <br />Mr. Reed, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, appeared before <br />the Board with regard to extension of sewer frau #59 Reed Street <br />to #67, in answer to a complaint from Mrs. Peckham at #67. The <br />sewer could not be extended without coming out of the ground. <br />The only other way would be to come from the pumping station and <br />that would cost too much money. The suggestion was that the <br />cesspool be extended and fixed up so it can function properly. <br />An application for a license for day care for children received <br />from Mrs. Nancy C. Schock, 15 Vaille Avenue, was held up pending <br />Reed <br />Street <br />
