205 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />June 19, 1953 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held in the <br />Selectmen's Roans, Town Office Building on June 19thl, 1953 at <br />3.00 P.M. Chairman McQuillan, Dr. Cosgrove and Mr. Cole were <br />present. Mr. Jackson, Health Sanitarian and the Clerk were <br />also present. <br />It was voted and approved by the members of the Board to <br />re-elect Mr. McQuillan as Chairman of the Board for a term of Chairman <br />one year. <br />Letters were read and discussed from R. C. Savoye and Mrs. Alice <br />Shannon re: manor sewer. It was agreed to have no more corres- <br />pondence with Mr. Savoye on this subject until October 1st., 1953 <br />at which time all sewer connections must be made. The Chairman Manor <br />suggested that a letter be written to Mrs. Shannon extending Sewer <br />the date until October 1st., 1953 for the manor sewreonnection. <br />Complaints were read which were received from neighbors of <br />John Brucchi, 63 Paul Revere Road, of damage done by horses and Brucchi <br />ponies and it was agreed by the members to have Mr. Brucchi <br />brought into Court for keeping horses without a permit. The <br />Chairman suggested that Mr. Jackson take care of this and in- <br />form Mr. Harold Stevens, the Town Counsel, of the action. <br />Copy of bill from Whitman& Howard for services rendered to <br />June 8, 1953 was noted by the Board. <br />Report from L.V.N.A. of calls made during the month of May <br />noted and filed. <br />Report of the Rabies Clinic held May 25th. thru May 28th., <br />1953 by Dr. Benton, Animal Inspector for the Town, noted and <br />filed. <br />At 4.00 P.M. Mr. Harvey Newgent appeared before the Board <br />to discuss further the Robinson Hill development and change its <br />previous decision on the report submitted by Whitmen$e Howard. <br />The following conversation took place. <br />Mr. Newgent: In talking with the people from Whitman & <br />Howard before I had read the report, I had been informed that <br />that site up there could be taken care of without town sewage. <br />I believe it means that 50% can have septic tanks and cesspools <br />and 50% are questionable. It does not mean that it cannot be <br />taken care of by cesspools and septic tanks. The Planning Board <br />has gone along with the Board of Health. So frankly I cannot get <br />anybody to say Yes or No until something can be re -stated to the <br />Planning Board so that we can get something going. <br />Mr. McQuillan: How about connecting to the sewer on Mass. Avenue; <br />Mr. Newgent: Too much money, 22,000. The lots costing ! 500, <br />it would mean would cost 43800. I was talking with the Chairman <br />of the Board of Health in Hingham and he feels that if the same <br />
