132 <br />Brucchi <br />Canessa <br />Monsignore <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />November 16, 1951 <br />A regular meeting -of the Board of Health was <br />held in the Selectmen's Room, Town .Office Building <br />on Friday, November 16, 1951 at 3:00 P.M. Chairman <br />Cosgrove and Mr. McQuillan were present. Mr. Jackson <br />Sanitarian, and the Agent were also present. <br />Application was received from John Brucchi, <br />63 Paul Revere Road, for permission to keep 8 horses, <br />2 cows and 75 poultry. <br />Letters on the subject were received from the <br />following individuals: <br />Mr. & Mrs. James 0. Wood 5 Constitution Road <br />Mr. & Mrs. M. -J, McCarthy 6 Revolutionary Road <br />Ivan K. Hoyt 6 Paul Revere Road <br />any 'increase over Mr.- Brucchi's <br />(2 sheep and '75 poultry) <br />R. A. Adams 69 Paul Revere Road <br />Howard'D.-Adams 69 Paul Revere Road <br />Malcolm B. Gray. 52 Ceder Street <br />enlargment of present permit. <br />Mrs. Geo. F. Vaughn 2361 Mass. Avenue <br />to 8 ponies, 75 poultry. <br />Leeland G. McConchie 57 Liberty Avenue <br />Opposed <br />Opposed <br />Opposed to <br />present permit <br />Opposed <br />Opposed <br />Opposed to <br />No objections <br />Opposed <br />Mr. Jackson reported that he had made a survey <br />of approximately fifteen houses and the only ones <br />opposed; adjacent to Mr. Brucchi, were Mr. Adams an <br />abutter, and -Mr. McConchie who intends to construct <br />houses across the street from -the Brucchi property. <br />The Board felt that the majority of the -persons <br />who wrote objecting to a permit being issued, lived <br />too far away to be affected. <br />Upon motion duly -made and seconded, it was <br />voted to grant Mr. Brucchi a permit to eep only <br />2 horses, 2 sheep and 75 poultry. <br />Application was received from Peter Canessa <br />for permission to keep three ponies at 904 Massachusetts <br />Avenue. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted <br />to deny the application. <br />Application was received from Joseph Monsignore <br />for a permit to keep four cows and twelve poultry. <br />Mr. Jackson recalled that the Board originally <br />refused to grant this permit because there were <br />objections from the neighbors. However, Mr. Monsignore's <br />argument is that he is operating a Slaughter House and <br />has to keep cows some times to fatten.
