122 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />June 22, 1951 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held <br />in the -Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building on <br />Friday, June 22, 1951 at 3:00 P.M. Chairman -Cosgrove <br />and Mr. McQuillan were present. Mr. Jackson, Health <br />Sanitarian, and the Agent were also present. <br />Application received from George E. Foster for a <br />permit to keep 12 poultryat 10 Plainfield Street, was <br />Foster held over from the last meeting of the Board. <br />poultry Mr. Jackson reported that Mr. Foster has kept <br />permit poultry for a -number of years and -the neighbors have <br />no objections As a result of the information obtained <br />by Mr. Jackson, the Board granted the permit. <br />Application received from Joseph F. Kelly, for -a <br />permit .to keep 1500 poultry, 3 horses and 4 cows at <br />344 Lowell Street was held over from the last meeting <br />of the Board. <br />Kelly Mr. Jackson reported that Mr. Kelly already has <br />poultry the poultry and has sufficient space and equipment. <br />permit Be is using a barn, building some shelters, and the <br />denied place is kept very clean. <br />Mr. McQuillan reported that in driving by, he <br />noticed that Mr. Kelly also has turkeys. <br />The Board granted 6 -permit to keep 3 horses <br />and instructed Mr. Jackson to confer with Mr. Kelly <br />and arrange to have the poultry and turkeys disposed <br />of. <br />Application received from Peter Gaudun, 25 Shade <br />Street, for permission to keep 3 quail, 15 pheasants, <br />38 poultry and 3 turkeys was held over from the last <br />meeting -of the Board. <br />Gaudun Mr. Jackson, having been instructed by the Board, <br />permit interviewed a neighbor, Mr. Kelly. Mr. Kelly has no <br />objections to the poultry, but does not want a permit <br />granted for turkeys or guinea hens. <br />The Board granted a permit for 3 quail, 15 <br />pheasants and 38 poultry. <br />Application -was received from George R. Medeiros, <br />20-Middleby Road, for permission to keep 100 pheasants. <br />Medeiros Mr. Jackson reported that the neighbors have no object - <br />permit ions. _ <br />The Board granted the permit and instructed the <br />Agent to advise Mr. Medeiros that -the time may Dome <br />when this section May.be'developed and the keeping of <br />pheasants would eonetitute a nuisance -thereby neces- <br />sitating the refusal of future permits. <br />Application was received from John A. Shaw, 48 <br />Shaw Brandon Street, for permission to keep 25 poultry. <br />poultry Mr. Jackson reported that the neighbors have no <br />permit objections. <br />The Board voted to grant a permit for 25 poultry. <br />1 <br />
