114 <br />Appointments <br />Infant <br />Boarding <br />Home <br />Poultry <br />Permit <br />Mimno appl. <br />to keep <br />poultry, etc. <br />Miller <br />Poultry <br />Permit <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />March 16, 1951 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held <br />in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Fri- <br />day, March 16, 1951. chairman Cosgrove, Messrs. McQuil- <br />lan and Russell were present. Mr. Jackson, Health San- <br />itarian, and the Agent were also present. <br />Upon motion of Mr. McQuillan, seconded by Mr. Rus- <br />sell, it was voted to re -appoint Mr. Richard F. Jackson <br />as nealth Sanitarian, for a term expiring March 31, 1952, <br />and to re -appoint Hazel J. Muwray as Agent for a term ex- <br />piring March 31, 1952. <br />It was further voted to re -appoint Mr. Thomas Bow- <br />didge and Mr. Howard R. Carley, employees of the Metro- <br />politan State Hospital, as Special Agents for terms ex- <br />piring March 31, 1952. <br />Upon motion of Mr. Russell, seconded by Mr. McQuil- <br />lan, it was voted to nominate Richard F. Jackson as <br />Slaughter Inspector and Dr. John J. Murphy as Inspector <br />of Animals: <br />Application was received from Mrs. Viola P. Burgess, <br />34 Fletcher Avenue, for the renewal of her license to <br />maintain a Boarding Home for Children. <br />Mr. Jackson reported favorably and upon motion duly <br />made and seconded, it was voted to approve the application. <br />Application wps received from T. Kemp and Cedetta <br />M. Maples for permission to keep 15 poultry at 161 Blos- <br />som Street. Mr. Jackson reported that the neighbors have <br />no objections and the applicants intend to keep the poul- <br />try in a wooded section at the rear of their house. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to <br />grant a permit for fifteen poultry. <br />Application was received from Harry R. Mimno for <br />permission to keep 2 cows, 1 goat and 50 poultry at 83 <br />Pleasant Street. The members of the Board preferred to <br />inspect the premises before taking any action on the ap- <br />plication. <br />Further consideration was given to Mr. Lloyd H. Mil- <br />ler's application to keep 1500 poultry on his premises <br />at 973 Concord Turnpike. <br />Mr. Jackson reported that he and Mr. McGuinnes, who <br />has charge of the reservoir, inspected the location last <br />week.
