89 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />June 23, 1950 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held in <br />the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Fri- <br />day,June 23, 1950. Chairman Cosgrove, Messrs. McQuil- <br />lan, Russell and Jackson were present. The Clerk and <br />Agent was also present. <br />The Clerk informed the Board that Mr. Harold Stevens, <br />Town Counsel, had telephoned to inquire as to whether <br />or not the members of the Board had been served sum- Brucchi <br />monses in connection with the legal action taken by Legal <br />John Brucchi as a result of the Board's denying his Action <br />application for a permit to keep livestock at 63 Paul <br />Revere Road. <br />The Chairman called Mr. Stevens and was advised that <br />it will not be necessary for the members of the Board <br />to appear in Court on July 3rd. <br />Application was received from Alice E. Mariette, for <br />renewal of her permit to maintain a Boarding Home for Mariette <br />Infants at 30 Cummings Avenue. Mr. Jackson reported Infant <br />favorably on the application. Boarding <br />Mr. Russell moved that the application be approved. Home <br />Mr. Mcqu.illan seconded the motion, and it was so <br />voted. <br />Application was received from Joseph Monsignore for <br />the renewal of his permit to slaughter and also for Monsignore <br />the renewal of his permit to maintain a Slaughter Permits <br />House at 76 Laconia Street. <br />Mr. Jackson reported that practically no slaughter- <br />ing has been done here for over a month. However, <br />conditions of the premises are satisfactory. <br />Mr. McQuillan moved that both licenses be renewed. <br />Mr. Russell seconded the motion, and it was so voted. <br />Application was received from Francis E. Welch, 98 <br />Reed Street, for a permit to practice manicure or Welch <br />massage in Lexington. Mr. Welch had a permit in Manicure & <br />Somervill where he formerly lived and would like to Massage <br />continue the permit in Lexington. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to <br />grant the permit and to advise Mr. Welch that per- <br />mission to conduct a business in a residential area <br />is not within the jurisdiction of the Board of Health <br />and would have to be taken up with the Board of Appeals. <br />
