89 BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING June 23, 1950 A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Fri- day,June 23, 1950. Chairman Cosgrove, Messrs. McQuil- lan, Russell and Jackson were present. The Clerk and Agent was also present. The Clerk informed the Board that Mr. Harold Stevens, Town Counsel, had telephoned to inquire as to whether or not the members of the Board had been served sum- Brucchi monses in connection with the legal action taken by Legal John Brucchi as a result of the Board's denying his Action application for a permit to keep livestock at 63 Paul Revere Road. The Chairman called Mr. Stevens and was advised that it will not be necessary for the members of the Board to appear in Court on July 3rd. Application was received from Alice E. Mariette, for renewal of her permit to maintain a Boarding Home for Mariette Infants at 30 Cummings Avenue. Mr. Jackson reported Infant favorably on the application. Boarding Mr. Russell moved that the application be approved. Home Mr. Mcqu.illan seconded the motion, and it was so voted. Application was received from Joseph Monsignore for the renewal of his permit to slaughter and also for Monsignore the renewal of his permit to maintain a Slaughter Permits House at 76 Laconia Street. Mr. Jackson reported that practically no slaughter- ing has been done here for over a month. However, conditions of the premises are satisfactory. Mr. McQuillan moved that both licenses be renewed. Mr. Russell seconded the motion, and it was so voted. Application was received from Francis E. Welch, 98 Reed Street, for a permit to practice manicure or Welch massage in Lexington. Mr. Welch had a permit in Manicure & Somervill where he formerly lived and would like to Massage continue the permit in Lexington. Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to grant the permit and to advise Mr. Welch that per- mission to conduct a business in a residential area is not within the jurisdiction of the Board of Health and would have to be taken up with the Board of Appeals.
