BOARD OF HEALTH <br />March 18, <br />1949 <br />A regular meeting of <br />was held in the Selectmen <br />Building on Friday, March <br />P.M. Chairman McQuillan, <br />Lamont, Health Inspector, <br />Clerk was also present. <br />the Board of Health <br />Is Room, Town Office <br />18, 1949, at 3;00 <br />Mr. Russell and Mr. <br />were present. The <br />Records of the meeting held on February 18, <br />1949, were declared approved. <br />Mr. Lamont's report on restaurant inspections <br />was reviewed and accepted. <br />Mr. Lament's monthly report as Health Inspector <br />was reviewed and accepted. <br />The Chairman read a letter from the Board of <br />Selectmen requesting a general report relative to <br />the proposed sewer mains for Fair Oaks, Farmerest <br />and Bow Street. Funds for these projects are pro- <br />vided for in the 1949 budget and will be acted <br />on at the Adjourned Town Meeting to be held on Mon- <br />day, March 21, 1949. <br />The Health Inspector informed the Board that <br />he has had no complaints from the Fair Oaks section, <br />but there are one or two bad conditions in the Farm - <br />Crest, area. He stated the conditions in the Bow <br />Street area are, and have been for some time, <br />very bad. <br />The Chairman read a letter from Donald E. <br />Faulkner registering a complaint about excessive <br />water which he alleges to be unhealthy. The Board <br />decided to discuss this with the Suptt. of Public <br />Works at a meeting on April 4, 1949, and the <br />Agent was instructed to so advise Mr. Faulkner. <br />A letter was received from the Board of Select- <br />ment;?which was attached an application, received by <br />the Selectmen from John J. Doheney, for the position <br />of Health Sanitarian.
