16 <br />John Lamont <br />re -appointed <br />Health and <br />Milk Insp. <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />June 18, 1948 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was <br />held in the Selectments Room, Town Office Building <br />on Friday, June 18, 1948 at 3:00 p.m. Chairman <br />McQuillan and Mr. Terhune were present. The Health <br />Inspector and the Clerk were also present. The members <br />of the Board were notified of the meeting by a postal <br />card mailed at least one week in advance. <br />Inasmuch as Mr. Russell was unable to attend this <br />meeting, it was the decision of the two members present <br />to postpone the organization of the Board. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted <br />to re -appoint Mr. John Lamont to the positions of Health <br />and Milk Inspector in the Town of Lexingtn for a term <br />expiring June 1, 1949. <br />Copy of a letter from the State Department of <br />Public Her1 th to the Bedford Board of Health, relative <br />to the DeFelice piggery in Bedford, was received. <br />Mr. Lamont reported that he had discussed this sub- <br />ject with the Bedford officials and was given the im- <br />pression that the Town of Bedford would eliminate any <br />health menace and unsanitary conditions without <br />assistance from the Town of Lexington. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted <br />to renew the following licenses: <br />Lowland Dairy Farm 92 <br />Veronica V. Belcastro 174 <br />Robert J. Hulk 16 <br />Adams Street <br />Wood Street <br />Burlington Street <br />Past. of Milk <br />Boarding Home <br />Eigs (2) <br />A lengthy discussion was held pertaining to the <br />reports of milk analysis and it was decided to invite <br />Mr. Aageson, the chemist, to meet with the Board on <br />Friday, July 16, 1948. <br />Consideration was given to the fact that the citizens <br />of Lexington encounter extreme difficulty in trying to <br />obtain medical assistance evenings and weekends. Suggestion <br />was made that the Board of Health write to the members <br />of the medical profession and solicit their co-oper- <br />ation whereby some arrangement may be made to assure <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
