1 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />May 27, 1948 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was <br />held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building <br />on Thursday afternoon, May 27, 1948 at 3:00 p.m. <br />Chairman, McQuillan, Messrs. Russell and Lamont <br />were present. The Clerk wasalso present. <br />The records of the meeting held on April 16, <br />1948 were declared approved. <br />The Chairman said that he had received a request <br />from the Lexington Minute -Man for permission to publish <br />proceedings of the Board meetings. The Board had no <br />objection and decided that in the event there was any <br />action takenorsubjects discussed which should not <br />be published, the Clerk would be so advised. <br />Report was received of the Lexington School <br />Diphtheria Clinic held in 1947 and also a report <br />of the communicable diseases for the period from <br />April 16 to date. <br />Letter was received from Dr. Alvin D. Kaplan, <br />71 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington stating that he <br />would appreciate having his name placed on file <br />for future appointment of Inspector of Animals for <br />the Town of Lexington. <br />Report was received of the nineteenth meeting <br />of the North Metropolitan Health Officers' and <br />Agents' Conference held on March 31, 1948. <br />The Conference voted to disapprove House Bill 1077 <br />which would make it mandatory in cities for one member <br />of a Board of Health to be a plumber. <br />The following licenses, all renewals, were approved; <br />A.
