11 <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />April 16, 1948 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was <br />held on Friday afternoon, April 16, 1948 in the Select- <br />men's Room. Town Office Building at 3;00 p.m. Chairman <br />McQuillan, Health Inspector Lamont and the Agent were <br />present. <br />The following licenses (renewals) were approved: <br />Funeral Director <br />It n <br />11 <br />Albert F. Douglass, <br />Alice McCarthy <br />Thomas Montague <br />Pasteurization <br />of Milk Swenson Brothers <br />Clean Cesspools Peter Canessa <br />Pigs Carrol Bros. <br />11 Walnut Farms <br />Infant Boarding Alice M. McHugh <br />Home <br />1844 Mass. Ave. <br />80 Bedford Street <br />25 Depot Square <br />210 Marrett Road <br />904 Mass. Ave. <br />31 Allen Street <br />25 Walnut Street <br />22 Marrett Street <br />Application was received from Alice E. Marietta <br />for a license to maintain a Boarding Home for Children <br />at 22 Marrett Street. The Chairman requested the Health <br />Inspector to investigate and report. <br />Mr. George G. Whiting, 333 Waltham Street was re- <br />appointed Inspector of Slaughtering for the Town of <br />Lexington for a term expiring April 30, 1949. <br />The Health Inspector submitted and reported on <br />milk analysis taken April 12, 1948. Two dealers whose <br />bacterial count ran over 40,000 were questioned by the <br />Board of Health. The Inspector was instructed to make <br />more frequent inspections on the two dealers in question. <br />A detailed report was received from the Inspector <br />pertaining to his activities during the past month. <br />The Chairman stated that it has been recommended <br />that an amendment be added to the present Board of Health <br />Rules and Regulations relative to convalescent homes, <br />whereby they would be regwied to secure a certification <br />
